The Energy Department joins the FBI in saying the virus likely spread via a mishap at a Chinese laboratory. Four other agencies, along with a national intelligence panel, still judge that it was likely the result of a natural transmission, and two are undecided.

While it makes sense, I didn't think of the DOE as a department that would look into this.

Several "officials declined to name agencies" littered through the article. I'd like to know who as much as their conclusions.

I almost started an A-Day Tailgate thread, missed when this one was created last month.
