| LIFE CV-19: Effects on life, work, and sports

I love the Babylon Bee. Their satire way too often of the type makes you question if it is real or not.

John McCain was a bad person, regardless of his service to this country. He hurt a lot more people than he helped. Go read about him, he was an ugly man, and not just because of his foreign policy. Look deeper. Trump probably could have used more tactful language, but the one thing he is appreciated for is speaking his mind and being real with you. He doesn't sugarcoat it. And yes, you are correct, it's sad the lowest common denominator in this country and how idiotic our society has become and can be. It just keeps sinking lower and lower.

He was a war hero. He is a war monger that never saw a war he didn't wanna jump into and there was very little I agreed with him on but I dont consider him to be a bad person. Its not about what kind of language he used. He literally said he wasn't a war hero because he was captured and that is despicable. Let alone coming from a draft dodger. I don't consider him to be "real" in the least bit. He trashes you if you ever show the least bit of disagreement with you and praises you as long as you suck up to him. Every single person in his cabinet/administration is the "smartest and best of the best"... until they are no longer there and then they are idiots, losers and someone he was "never a fan of."

It says a lot more about everyone else IMO...

I always point to Jon McCain when I talk about this. Name me another person - Democrat, Republican, Independent, Pope - anyone that could in public and with no remorse whatsoever say that a war hero is not actually a war hero because he was captured and war heroes don't get captured. Let alone, a draft dodging asshole who in the past had the audacity to say he went through his own personal Vietnam just trying not to get an STD. He's still insulting the guy after his death and no one bats an eye. Had any other candidate ever said anything remotely similar to that they would have been run out of their own party and lost in a landslide in the primary, let alone general.

Bravo. He was a great American something trump knows nothing about.

No offense, but I have seen a lot of that with you as well. You get very angry when folks don't agree or see things your way, and you leave zero room for movement on your opinion.

And McCain was a piece of shit. Aiding traffickers on his Arizona border, running foundations while capturing millions of dollars from Middle Eastern countries to do their bidding (a lot of politicians do this), involved in the Russia hoax, and plenty of other crap you won't see from the National Media. trump's reasoning you mentioned above may not be the best argument or words, but fuck McCain. He deserves all of the harsh criticism that comes his way for selling out our country.

Please show us all your proof or are you just going to come up with more of your deep state right wing propaganda?

Sure, some is deep state material, but where there is smoke there is fire. So I won't use that here, but I will use a few links to prove the case that he was in fact a piece of trash. So Saudi Arabia just gave Arizona State $1M huh? I'm sure that happens everyday at other colleges around the country from the Middle East...

"After all, he called his wife a “c***” on the campaign trail only once (reportedly reacting to being gently teased about his thinning hair); he only joked about the teenage Chelsea Clinton being the “ugly” love child of Hillary Clinton and Janet Reno. " (Opinion: Why can't anyone be honest about John McCain's legacy?)

I'll always remember him for how he didn't repeal Obamacare and his selection of Palin as his running mate.

He said from the beginning that unless they actually had a plan to replace it he would not vote to repeal. Republicans had 10 years to come up with a halfway decent plan to replace but they knew they could just run their mouths about evil Obama and "IM GONNA REPEAL OBAMACARE" and they would get reelected in red states. It worked, everyone got played and now we still technically have Obamacare but its been gutted while prices will just keep going up.

Im pretty sure he went to his grave regretting making the female Trump his running mate.

I dont get angry, actually. This such a weird thing to me. There is literally someone in this very thread that went on a tirade about what a bitch I was, how I was a "cocksucker," "F U" and all this other stuff yet I am the only person that has been accused of being "angry." I may get frustrated but Im not angry. And I dont really get why you're pointing out me leaving "zero room for movement" on my opinion. Virtually everyone in this thread has their views and doesn't seem to be moved regardless.

I've never heard the aiding traffickers stuff but I find that very hard to believe. Trump runs foundations why literally stealing from those foundations AND accepting money form middle eastern countries lol He literally just said yesterday (or this weekend) that he finds nothing wrong with selling weapons to any country regardless of their human rights record, as long as they have money come on. The only Russian "hoax" was convincing so many people that it was a hoax.

Like I said, I dont mind criticism of anyone and McCain deserves his share but questioning his military record - especially from a draft dodger - is beyond clownish and no other presidential candidate - Especially in the supposedly military loving Republican party - would get away with it.

Most of that appears to be attacks from liberal sources. McCain was hated by the Republican right for his willingness to reach across party lines to try and get something done. trump hates McCain because he is a hero something trump will never be.

The idea of affordable medical sounds great, I'm all for it. Government run anything is a disaster.

The word hero is not one I'd label either POTUS Trump or Sen McCain with. But that's my perspective.

Remember when the Republicans did everything in their power to derail POTUS Trump during the election.

And yeah, my opinion on most things politics are set in stone at this point. Seems each new year further locks my thoughts on what a broken system we have. Its sad really.

At the end, the elected politicians love the constant back and forth. It keeps all there constituents focused on the wrong things, which is good for the political business.

I don't agree with the thought that government can't run anything. Most people that have Medicaid like it, tell an old person you're going to take away their Medicare and see how well they go for that. The post office was probably the single best run part of the government until Congress saddled it with a bill in 2006 that will likely eventually break it, something POTUS is really, really gunning for. Single payer is the only way I see it ever being half way decent. We'll just have to agree to disagree on it because thats one of those debates that could go on for days lol

I agree it does say a lot more about everyone else. I despised McCain politically for the most part, but he was war hero. Trump is the same dude that talked shit about General Mattis. Trump is a draft dodging ass and even if he didn’t say all the other shit and act like a douche I would never vote for him for that reason alone

Ok, well let's say your "frustrations" are so consistent that it comes across as a lot of anger a lot of the time.

Secondly, I have never condoned anyone calling anyone those names on here. I did not see that,so I can't comment on that. No matter how you want to say it, calling someone an idiot or stupid is no different than calling them a cocksucker. You're trying to demean someone, so the different word doesn't mean you're any better than that guy. Yoir character has to be better, simple as that. Doesn't matter if you steal $1 or $1M, you're still a thief.

And the fact they have spent years and years trying to pin Russia on Trump and haven't with millions of tax payer dollars spent, and you still not believing the outcome is just more evidence that even with all of that you're still calling us the fools, it says a lot about you.

Obama was quoted as saying a number of negative things about our country. His wife was caught saying "all of this for a damn flag", so no, Trump isn't getting away with anything.

As far as your statement about government being able to run things, that may be the biggest laugh I have gotten today. Everything they touch goes to crap. Isn't Medicare continuing to face financial trouble along with social security? The armed forces is always embroiled in some kind of coverup. The post office is only getting more expensive, slower, more problematic, and just a mess. Socioeconimic programs are a disaster. Would love to hear any form of a governmental program that has not been embroiled in controversy and where a backdoor deal hasn't been made or scammed.

Most of that appears to be attacks from liberal sources. McCain was hated by the Republican right for his willingness to reach across party lines to try and get something done. trump hates McCain because he is a hero something trump will never be.

And I guess president was something Trump did accomplish that McCain couldn't.

I see it the other way. None of those programs are managed correctly.
