| LIFE CV-19: Effects on life, work, and sports

I have stopped reading all opinion papers and if you post something w/o a study backing it I tag it as suspect. I do not care what position it is advocating. Social media and news organizations with an agenda have forced me into that mode of operation. Talking heads get paid to work you up and get you to watch and listen to them. Same with political parties that want you emotionally invested.

General Mattis, John Kelley, Rex Tillerson, HR McMaster, Steve Bannon, Reince Priebus all those that have worked with him, all those that have called him some form of "stupid," "moron," idiot" or even said he had the "mind of the child." He stands up in front of the world and daily says some of the dumbest things imaginable and constantly shows he is clueless and then turns around and says he knows more about combat than generals, more about medicine then doctors and scientists, calls himself a "stable genius" (multiple times), etc.

I also find it odd when so many people point at money as some proof that you are unbelievably intelligent. Even more so odd people that were born into wealth and have done more losing that money than making it over the years. So, I guess Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton have a shot at being the first female president I guess...

Then again, he had his own "university" so I guess he has to be smart right? Not like it was a big scam or anything. But dont listen to me, Im just a hateful liberal. I really should be ashamed of every negative thing I've ever said about the guy that went around for 8 years telling everyone that would listen to that the previous guy was really a "secret Kenyan muslim that sympathizes with terrorists." THAT is not hateful, at all, though.

Passive aggressive liberal race baiter your full time gig?

Another day, another fight.
Ain't it great that in America we have the freedom to fight within ourselves. What's the odds that @BamaBoyJosh will turn around and love our POTUS. JUST HOPE we get 4 more years of this. I lost a 401k in Nobama years. About 250k. I'm sure 250k I don't want to go back but I love seeing the libs crying and moaning. I could have retired but now it's fun.

You are far too kind in your assessment. They are unmitigated assholes.
Everyone. Everyone knew this about Trump when he was elected. And yet, three years later, they still can't handle his personality. It baffles me.

Not saying that POTUS sometimes doesn't make me shake my head with many of his comments but how can someone have the success he has had in life and be considered stupid?
Some, @BamaBoyJosh is one I believe might, are simply jealous of success. Perhaps I'm wrong about Josh, but he's made the same comments about Kanye West calling him stupid.

It's political and unfortunately enough, it's left some numbingly blind.

Try this one for size. Adam Schiff is a liar. But, he's not stupid. AOC has some ideas I question. But, she's not stupid.

When a person deles into insults like "stupid" they define themselves.

Josh, let me make one thing clear. When it comes to social policies I'm far from conservative. Economically, I am. Stay out of my life is my motto. That said, one thing I'e come to believe. I don't think the Republican method is the answer to problems. I do believe the blue states are in the situation they are because they are blue states.

I do wonder what you're opinion on Cuomo is...both of them.

I knew who Trump was and was praying like hell the Hildebeast lost, but I have been that way since I first took notice of the political shows. Due to our current situation in this country the favorable views of socialism are climbing quite a bit. The Covid19/economy zombie economy is a large and low hanging political fruit that could set the direction of the country for a generation. These 1,000+ page stimulus bills are being dropped like mana from heaven. I believe governments should be very minimal in size and scope.

My eyes almost rolled out of the back of my damn head at this. But let me get this straight, first you say "its because Im jealous" of his success and then you say it's political. So, which is it, Terry. And I have no idea whatsoever why you brought Kanye West into this because I would put money down that before 2016 you would have just as likely been willing to call him dumb, as well (as was I).

I sure do wish you would hold the president to as high of a standard as you're attempting to hold me. It's so interesting that me saying that I think Trump "defines me" but somehow it's perfectly fine for the leader of the free world to call people stupid, idiots, fat pigs, dummy, nut job, wacky, "low IQ" and literally a murderer. Then again, if you had to be consistent there you couldn't defend him...

Mitt Romney is greedy but I don't think he's stupid. Rand Paul is a hypocrite but I don't think he's stupid. John Kasich is... reasonable. Jon McCain was a war monger but I dont think he was stupid or immoral. See, I can play your game too. Because I think Donald Trump is a scam artist, extremely dumb, a liar and a horrible person, doesn't mean I think all Republicans are.

You're a "libertarian" that votes Republican. It's not hard to tell.

I don't have an opinion on Cuomo, I know nothing about him other than he's the governor of NY. But I dont think you actually wonder what I think about him.

So, how exactly did "Nobama" cost you your 401K?

This post is exactly one of the reasons why I think you are extremely hypocritical by the way @TerryP You just spent your entire post chastising me about Trump stupid but here you are "liking" a post about the "crying whining libs."

It was mentioned to me the other day ... "____" needs to grow up and join the middle class. I'm seeing friendships destroyed over this shit, Tim. I'm tired of it all.

I understand this is another cheap shot at me but I agree actually. I literally have family members that don't speak to me simply because of who I do or don't vote for, except this isn't some new phenomenon. It's been like this. My uncle told me that I should have been aborted when I told him I voted for Obama in 2008. And you may say "well, Im sure you're as outspoken about your views to them as you are on here" but Im not. After the first few times of being told what a dipshit I was for not having the same views I completely stopped taking part in those discussions at family gatherings but a certain family member still attempts to troll me into getting into an argument. This is definitely not a new thing.

That actually brings me back to hearing Squirell (I think thats who it was) on Finebaum last week breaking out into this argument about how the divide in this country is all the Democrats faults because of how they've responded to Trump and have "treated" him and said it was something we've never seen before. He's not the only one I've seen make that claim and Im pretty sure I've seen it on here. It's 1000% a lie. Well, either people have selective memories or they are lying one or the other.

Class warfare causes that. The idea that someone who is above you must have stolen your fair share to get their ill gotten gains is prevalent and definitely pushed by the media as gospel. As is the idea that you could just tax the rich a little more to pay for everything anybody wants. Living wage, UBI, and Medicare for All are fantastic things with absolutely no negative impacts. Captialism must be destroyed because without it everyone would live together in peace and harmony only working for what is best for society as a whole with no greed. If you don't believe that we have a nice gulag you can go stay in to learn the truth.
