Word is Trump may shut the country down for two weeks. Everything but grocery, pharmacy, and healthcare facilities shut completely and folks told to stay home.

One thing that strikes me is you're seeing this as hindsight as they see it unfold. Loosing regulations I see as a proactive move, considering other countries with the same reaction time. Ironic we see face masks produced in ...And what happens after 2 weeks? Does it magically disappear?
They've dropped the ball on this. They need to devise a plan and communicate it, short and long.

You can't trust anything that comes out of his mouth. He did not take this seriously from the beginning. According to him it would just magically disappear. Look and listen for yourself.
Really awful....i agree....sound like good system...At the ABC store yesterday had to stand in line for 20 minutes. They would let 5 people in at a time. When my turn came I had to stand on a spot and one of the employees took my order and delivered it to the checkout stand where I had to stand on another spot to pay. Everyone had on gloves. It was actually an efficient process. I wish they wouldn't shorten the hours. They closed the other stores in the area. That's bad when you are at home and can't have a drink.
Think I'm going to make some moonshine.
I just need a recipe
Funny....in that a lot of hard left even complimented him on job he was doing...umm....and cbs news went from calling him MR TRUMP to PRESIDENT TRUMP....haters gonna hate though....nobody does anything that someone dont complain about especially when they look at it in the rear view mirror....
Instead of real time
@TerryP .... we agree!
Twitter is full of idiot people with 2020 Hind sight vision. How many of us took it seriously to start with. It's the flu. Blaming Trump for not taking it serious to start with is a major mistake. Just look at Italy or just about any country in the world. This had to be a serious decision to shut the country down for the flu. I don't get it now. A lot of folks died from the previous flu outbreak and this one so far is similar. China hid it to start with so I think we need less goods from China. Stay safe and here is some adviceFunny....in that a lot of hard left even complimented him on job he was doing...umm....and cbs news went from calling him MR TRUMP to PRESIDENT TRUMP....haters gonna hate though....nobody does anything that someone dont complain about especially when they look at it in the rear view mirror....

They are the facts but blaming POTUS for not responding is using Hind sight. You can always be right 100% of the time. No country responded at that time. No one had any idea that this was something more than the flu. It still is the flu. The H1N1 flu did a lot of damage and Obama didn't respond early. No smart leader would go bat$shit crazy before there is reason to.What I posted are the facts. Look and listen. Sorry if the truth hurts.

You're comparing the average joe to someone who is sitting in the most powerful position on the planet and has every resource available to him yet still ignored it even when his own experts were trying to warn him. Virtually all the commentators that I saw from the experts (I couldnt care less what a talking head on MSNBC said) the criticism on the ban on China was that it was too little too late and was ignoring other countries that were already having outbreaks (which is likely where the "racism" stuff came from). I've backed off on blaming Trump some just because I dont think its helpful right now but when you have people attempting to applaud him and pretend like he's done a bang up job here it's beyond silly. In the beginning he was literally telling the CDC not to test because he didn't want his "numbers to look back." The same reason he made people suffer by sitting out in the ocean for two weeks. Just go watch all of his press conferences since the beginning of this. He started out as dismissive and arrogant, and has almost daily grown more irritable and desperate sounding. He just went off on a reporter yesterday for asking what his message to Americans that were scared was as a "nasty question." He's cracking and that isn't good for anyone.
Sidenote, I also find it laughable when people look at calling him "Mr. Trump" and not "President Trump" has some form of disrespect. Calling Obama shit like "Obummer" and "Husein" wasn't disrespectful though...
and "Husein" wasn't disrespectful though...
Truth dont hurt...i rather enjoy....no doubt there are back n forths...especially with POTUS...somethings he make u scratch ur head......but he has tried to put a positive spin until reality was overwhelming....What I posted are the facts. Look and listen. Sorry if the truth hurts.
Haters gonna hate.... hindsight is 20/20....I have to ask a serious question. What is the President supposed to do earlier that the individual agencies couldn't do themselves? Maybe he could put more focus on things and help them work together, but our system should not be reliant on one person taking things seriously. If it is that reliant, then we need to make changes quickly because no one person should have that much power.
Haters gonna hate.... hindsight is 20/20....
And its not reliant on one person....we have several branches of government....
But...one was elected to make the final decision....after taking all info...and having the experts at his side....giving advice... if he would be doing it without those experts advising him...would be a travesty...
Glad its him and not either of last 2...3
No human can do it all correctly. Did he f it up to start is an opinion not a fact.20/20 is hindsight, absolutely.
But when you're hired to do a job, an important job, or literally the most important job in the world - It's not a try hard job. You either do things well or you don't. Up until now the economy was doing extremely well, so he received credit and rightfully so. Don't care how politically slanted you are, you can't make me believe he's handled this well. Therefor, he's catching hell. Again - Not a try hard job. It's a results gig. The way he's handled this hasn't bread confidence, which has impacted a lot of markets negatively both directly and indirectly. Yes there was going to be negative repercussions from the virus regardless of president, but the point is whether he's had a positive or negative impact on those results. I'm not affiliated with either party, I'll say negative.
It's also his job to get things back on track if/when this stuff finally passes. He will be given credit or blame on that recovery... And rightfully so... Because it's not a try hard job! RTR @50+yeartidefan
