| LIFE CV-19: Effects on life, work, and sports

One thing for sure this better open this countries eyes about is the fact that we HAVE to start manufacturing in this country again.
One could suggest you're beginning to take on a nationalist view.

Awhile back you and I briefly discussed the NBA, China, the the pro-democracy movement in Taiwan. I pray this opens the eyes of countries around the world to what an 'effed up place China is...and has been.
Have you seen the videos of spring breakers talking about it? I will never doubt the stupidity of humanity again after this whole mess.
Yeah...left me shaking my head.

I just saw the lady I referenced earlier as being quarantined coming back from somewhere in her car. Who knows...maybe she went to get food but then again who has curb side service at 9AM?

On a side note...seeing a big influx in ad sales pointing to pick up and curb side service.

In a sense, I want us out of wars too but I'm not an isolationist.

Yeah, we had almost half of our ads canceled on Monday. That is beyond scary but a bunch of digital ads about curbside service and things like that have started to pick up.

I was a tool & die maker / moldmaker for 32 years with a tad bit over 25 years in automotive manufacturing. I have screamed for years as my craft was slowly spread over LCCs (low cost countries). It will take 12-15 years to get it where it should be. There is a shortage of toolmakers and the average age is around 58 like me. I say all of this to point out that manufacturing doesn’t happen without toolmakers to help design and to build completely the special machinery & tooling to manufacture. Desperate need for appropriate vocational training with apprenticeships. Then eliminate all of the tech VISAs that Silicon Valley lives of

10 years of relative isolationism would do the countries of the world a lot of good.

That's where the influx has been...even down to the local, community outlets.
Amazing to me how many people don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom.
A question that's never been answered to my satisfaction...

You go into a place for a beer and a burger and the lighting is dim. It's your first time there.
You go to the restroom in that place and it's lit as if the sun is in the room.

The latter you've been doing all your life...but it's the one the requires the most lighting?

Remember how they brought battleships back for a bit.

Knowing how dirty most places bathrooms are, and realizing that lower lighting in the main dining area is hiding a lot more dirt than the bathroom, makes you wonder why you would ever sit and eat there again.
