The media hype is infuriating as well as disappointing. We see that in this thread, on this page, with the editor from CNBC stating the US had moved ahead of Spain in total numbers. While that's true, is severely misleading and what I consider to be bad reporting. It was a tweet meant to alarm, not warn, with no context or reference to total capital.I have been on this earth for 55 years and I have never seen anything like this. Context, as late as 1 to 2 weeks ago I was still in the camp this is all media hype. They have been doing it so long I have mentally conditioned to assume that. It is correct that the President has to be able to see through that and he should have trusted advisors that he should listen to but he is human.
Why is it going crazy in Italy? Because they didn't want to appear "racist" even going to the point of the "Hug someone from China." Very few point that out...their political correctness likely being fuel to the spreading fire.
A few weeks ago we saw every media outlet talking about it being China borne. Now, we're seeing media members question if calling it China borne is racist. All of this following China saying "America's decision to ban travel was racist."
Infuriating...when looking at the story and its timeline as a whole.
You're not alone. I'm still amazed how people still get upset about Trump being himself. It bothers me more that it leads people to identity political views versus simple views on policy. But that's a different thread in itself. With that said, I do wish President Trump would interact with people with a little more tact and have less "about me" attitude but I will get over it if he gets the job done.
