| LIFE CV-19: Effects on life, work, and sports

It is interesting to go back and view clips of the earliest days of the pandemic on Youtube. I was watching one the other day from March 2020, the jump off point here in the U.S. That was during the time when Deb Birx was on the tube pretty much around the clock with updates and this and that. She said some things then that really make me raise an eyebrow, now, almost two years later. She said that there was no "magic bullet, pill, treatment, or vaccine". And she was dead on. At the time. In March 2020, and for a long time thereafter, there was NONE of that. However, someone at the press briefing asked about a possible vaccine down the road and she answered saying "let me perfectly clear. There is no vaccine. There never has been. There is not one now, and there is not going to be. Trust me on that." The person then asked "so...never?" to which she shook her head no. And then in late 2020, we have a vaccine. By that point in time, she had stepped down from her post and had begun working at her present job, which is as a future pandemic preparedness analyst at the George W Bush Institute in Texas. Looking back, I do recall her being very emphatic that there would be no vaccine. I don't know if that was to try and get people to understand the importance of certain measures at the time (namely the stay at home, save lives part) or to condition the public to not get too lax when vaccines did come out. Or...did she honestly believe that there was not going to be a vaccine, ever, at any point in time?

Not really at all. Close contact with someone who tested positive. Traveling to see family for the holidays. Tons of other reasons to test without symptoms.

The vast majority of COVID tests are to individuals experiencing symptoms. There may be tons of other reasons, but they are rounding errors compared to the number of tests prompted by symptoms.

You say that as if it is a fact, I would like to see the numbers. Meanwhile, there are tons of articles telling people to only test if they have to due to symptoms and talking about how many are testing without symptoms due to travel or work requirements, etc.

I hope the Supreme Court overturns the mandate.

Previous employer on the verge of firing unvaccinated employees, talk about overstepping.

I just like the lovely concentration covid camp. BTW, are you a lawyer?

Australia constructed these facilities to comply with their quarantine mandate for people arriving in the country. Despite Australia's oppressive policies in regard to COVID, with which I disagree, it's untrue that they're rounding up their unvaccinated and putting them in camps.

I'm not a lawyer.

I never said they were rounding anyone up. I do believe they will eventually.

No, but that's an untruth that's been circulating, and the article was unclear on that. Calling it a concentration camp certainly infers something other than temporary lodging for those entering the territory.
The Germans didn’t call them concentration camps nor did their defenders until the reality of it was shoved up their noses. That’s the problem with laws of an emergency nature, they seemingly always have enough ambiguity to allow generous twisting and interpretation. The Patriot Act is a fine example.
Regardless, it is a concentration camp. You are forcibly putting people of undetermined number In an area that is guarded (unknown severity) and it is a serious crime to escape from. The only missing component from our collective memory of concentration camps would be forced labor. Undesirables concentrated in one area under observation….

Why would you call it an untruth if it is a lie? Should I post something else disagreeable would you refer to it as +untruth or if egregious enough a double +untruth. You sound like a politician. A lie is just that, it’s not an untruth that’s lawyer and politician talk.

I agree with you that emergency laws have a much greater chance to infringe upon personal freedoms and civil liberties. I'm against them.

I disagree that these are concentration camps. Were the Ellis Island quarantine barracks a concentration camp? People entering the country convalesced or, through the passage of time, proved they were not a threat to infect the general population, and they freely went about their way. Same in this instance. You may believe that Australia will eventually round up their unvaccinated citizens and detain them, but it is a lie to suggest that is happening now.

edit* I'll also add that, in addition to the forced labor thing, you forgot to mention the mass murder (both starvation and extermination) that most equate with concentration camps.

Vocabulary wise, untruth vs. lie is meaningless, sorry if you were upset or triggered by that. We can't/won't agree on everything, so we won't always be in alignment. No matter how I've said it, you've understood it, and it's been clear. You desire more inflammatory language?

Not triggered and using “lie” for what it is should not be inflammatory. It is what it is. I may have led you down the path but never said they were rounding people up. Seems to be more difficult to get info from non approved sources from the countries down under. Draconian crap going on because the people are unarmed.

They are unarmed, but I'm not sure you can make the leap that's why they have implemented this. We've seen things that are similar (Hawaii's required quarantine in 2021 and a smattering around the country). I don't think U.S. legislators have considered what laws they pass in the context of "we have an armed public" for well over 100 years.

“Results indicate that the treatment (vaccine administration) has a strong and statistically significant propensity to causally increase the values in either y1 [variable chosen for deaths per million] or y2 [variable chosen for cases per million] over and above what would have been expected with no treatment.

y1 showed an increase/decrease ratio of (+115/-13), which means 89.84% of statistically significant countries showed an increase in total deaths per million associated with COVID-19 due directly to the causal impact of treatment initiation [vaccines].

y2 showed an increase/decrease ratio of (+105/-16) which means 86.78% of statistically significant countries showed an increase in total cases per millionof COVID-19 due directly to the causal impact of treatment initiation.”

Australia's government took the weapons away from their citizens. So now they can't fight back against their tyrannical government.
How long has there been an outcry to ban weapons ( guns ) here in the USA? How many more false flags will it take to make it happen?
