Not much to it. Same as it is on the football side and other sports... some players are encouraged to find other spots so that their scholarship will be freed up. You may remember though last season, Pringle was suspended multiple times, including being left off the team plane to Spokane during the tournament (he had to get himself there). I don't think he left UA with animosity, but he needed a fresh start and took one close to home in SC.

Thanks. Wish him luck. I did like watching his play, but don't need the drama.

A name to watch... Wooley has been linked to Bama for a good while now (I think he's even been mentioned on here a while back?), and there are some connections there starting with him being from Tuscaloosa. Also, Pettway is/was his HC at Kennesaw St.

AT halftime last night I was doing other stuff but I caught a snippet of Barkley talking about how bad it is that the mid majors are becoming farm teams for the big schools. I thought to myself, what did you think was going to happen? So many pundits were supportive of NIL and the portal, and how it was going to empower the athletes. And this is exactly what Saban warned you would happen. When you establish that money is the driving force behind athletics, then the rich teams will own all the power and the controls. Barkley is not the only one bemoaning the death of the mid major cinderella, but I just happened to hear him say that. These pundits and commentators want to have their cake and eat it too. They just aren't intelligent enough to understand how things really work. It just irritates me.

You nailed it perfectly.
The Scarbinskys Goodmans Etc... have cried for the poor athlete for so long. That might be why they are sportswriters instead of being in charge of some of this stuff!

That's a really big get to me. Sherrell was definitely raw and needs to improve on the defensive end. But he seems like he can develop into a literal force when he puts it all together.
