One damn point. I don't think I've hit an Alabama bet in four months.
Was a good win. Winning by 20 on the road cannot be overstated. Interesting thing about this team on both offense and defense it feels like they can get better and they are still drilling people. Just not putting them away or playing consistently. This team has a high ceiling. Hope they can reach it.
No. But I wish him well. And hope he suplexes Broome Rick Steiner style when they play auburn.
I don't know this for sure. It's something I suspect; wonder about.
Last game against OU Oats made sure that Wague got his Final Four ring from last season. I wonder how that happened with Pringle.
Side note that means nothing. Nick is getting more minutes but he just doesn't seem to be having as much fun as he did last season. (I may be looking too deeply into nothing.)

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The No. 5/5 Alabama men's basketball team picked up its first road win in Southeastern Conference play, defeating South Carolina, 88-68, Wednesday night at Colonial Life Arena. It was the Crimson Tide's seventh consecutive win overall, and fourth straight by 20 or more points.
Alabama (13-2, 2-0 SEC) had three players score double figures led by Mark Sears who finished with game highs of 22 points and six assists. Aden Holloway added 13 points and three assists while Clifford Omoruyi finished with 10 points and five boards in the victory.
The Gamecocks (10-5, 0-2) were led by Jacobi Wright with 16 points in addition to three rebounds and one assist.

"First road game for us in the SEC and I thought our guys answered the bell pretty well. We came out of the gate good and Mark (Sears) was really good early and looked like a player of the year candidate. I thought our defense was significantly better for the whole 40 minutes than it had been. I didn't like the start of our start in the second half and we have been having bad starts in the second half, especially when we have a big leads so we made a little bit of a change and I thought the intensity picked up and we were able to keep the lead. I thought Mouhamed Dioubate's defense against Collin Murray-Boyles was one of the big points of the game and I was happy with his effort. A lot of good efforts from a lot of people so this was a good road win for us."Team Stats

- Alabama held the Gamecocks scoreless for just over four minutes midway through the opening stanza, helping lead to a 6-0 run to take the 22-14 lead
- Sears scored or assisted on 17 of Alabama's first 25 points of the game
- The Crimson Tide recorded 13 assists off 18 field goal makes
- Alabama went into the break with a 45-28 lead
Second Half
- Aden Holloway got hot in the second half, scoring seven points within the first five minutes of the half
- Alabama's bench made an immediate impact, scoring 12 of the Tide's first 18 points in the half
- It all helped the Tide take commend of the game, building a lead to as much as 21 points (79-58) late in the contest
- The Tide's bench finished the half with 29 points and outscored South Carolina's reserves 29-4 over the final 20 minutes
- Holloway led all scorers in the second half with 11 points

Rewatched the game. Oats was definitely fed up with some of the laziness on D and poor turnovers. Awesome to see him keep players accountable and bench the starters. I think Reid made up for the poor transition D and ended up playing harder. It was good to see him respond positively to that ass chewing.
Holloway is improving driving the lanes. A lot better around the rim than when he started (and noticeably better than when he was at auburn). Also don't look now but Sears is starting to be able to drive with his nondominant hand. It's opening up lanes for bigs inside and he's facilitating much better. He still has some questionable turnovers but it seems like he has his confidence back as opposed to what we saw earlier this season.
Nelson and Cliff have some chemistry between each other and it's awesome to watch it continue to grow.

Oats definitely about lost it after that transition basket. Last night was a weird look for me because we looked confident and were laid back, but yet we also looked determined on defense with our effort. 20 point win and shooting 50% from the line is a solid effort, outside of free throws.
It was a very big and nice win last night in Columbia, S.C. If we play the way we have the last two games, we are going to be hard to handle anywhere.
This move by Philon is spectacular.
