Eh, future bets like these tend to be a rollercoaster on odds. They try to get a ton of sucker money by manipulating them some and making it seem like there's something that Vegas knows that others don't I'd say tomorrow we will see some more movement as ramblings and rumors continue to swirl.

I will say, on Norvell at around Noon he was a +200 and Sarkisian was +250 so they moved even throughout the day a ton. Norvell started around +1000 dropped to +200 around the middle of the day and then shot back up after his tweet earlier about FSU landing Ferguson.

I will also point out Sarkisian just tweeted out a very pro-Texas tweet a few minutes ago so wouldn't be surprised to see him shoot up as well.

followed by his wife's tweet of Texas with a horns logo

Yeah, I saw the Sark thing earlier. I don't know how far it got, but he was interested. I'd imagine it had to hit a certain # for him to give the green light. From what I gather, he never got the opportunity. Sounds like Byrne has lowered the landing gear. If so, lets hope for a smooth landing tomorrow.

A lot of you guys on here have seen coaching searches at Bama before. AD said do not believe anything you read and I believe that. All this flight watching and speculation just puts you on a rollercoaster. Let Byrne do his job and put someone in place. When he does back the guy. Saw some Bama fans protesting saying do not hire Dabo. As an organization and fanbase we are better than that. If CNS being at Bama has taught us anything it should be that unless the organization including the fanbase pulls in the same direction whoever is there will innevitably fail. Support the AD and his choice.
Unless it's Franklin.

Unless it's Franklin.
Don't know that Franklin makes sense, he has no connections to this, hasn't won anything or produced a ton of talent. He can recruit and deal with NIL but I don't think he'd be capable of taking the talent and turning them into NFL players here. Also unlike PSU, you can't fail in the big games. We expect some wins at Bama and he constantly fails in big game situations against tough competition.

I think the Sark one got about as far as Lanning did, they probably called and chatted with him doing their due diligence on the matter.

Wouldn't surprise me if they hadn't also called Kirby, Schumann, Deboer, Lanning and others but from what I'm hearing so far as much as the media is speculating. Alabama hasn't actually offered the job to anyone yet. They've tested the waters and figured out who would truly be interested in leaving their respective jobs. Now they'll likely be finalizing the search over the next 24 hours or so and extending an offer to the candidate that fits the criteria that we know they are looking for. I'm probably preaching to the choir here though I know you've likely heard the same things.

I'm not all that well versed in futures bets, but it makes me wonder if they are manipulating it to try and get suckers to throw down more coin on Dabo as opposed to wear the number was. I say that, because even with the looming possibility of a left field hire, I can't fathom a scenario where Dabo is offered the job.
Betting odds are established so that the house makes money. They didn’t build all those fancy casinos by losing money.

Joel Klatt has stated repeatedly lately that he was aware of Saban offering Sark a HC-in-waiting status back when he served as OC. Saban dissuaded him from one job opportunity, but he wasn't able to keep Sark from accepting the Texas job. I thought this was fascinating. Man, how awesome would that have been. A smooth transition, plus Sark would have had that 2020 natty on his record as new head coach at Bama.

Sexton doing work for his clients, as he should. But people freak out with every report and assumed offer they hear, when a good chunk of the stuff is not in the neighborhood of legitimate.
Yea a lot of personalities, tv, radio, and otherwise keep saying Alabama is getting denied left and right by these coaches but I don't think any of them truly grasp that Alabama has likely not even sent an offer to a candidate yet.

It's kind of irresponsible journalism to just assume something you've got no sources for just because a coach made a tweet about his own school. You can assume that he's likely not leaving but making the assumption he rejected Bama is lazy reporting. Did you even ask if he was offered the job?

Cause Pat Mcafee did to Lanning and Lanning dodged the question, which likely means he was never offered the job to begin with. He may have been called, but an offer was likely never extended.

Why. A proven commodity. I know some dont like him...fine. But he is proven....

On that example, Byrne talks to guys to get info on other targets. But people hear that they spoke and assume it was an interview. Easy assumption, and early on, I too thought things pointed that way. But after some dust settles, you can start to separate fact from fiction. This stuff is like running a maze... you're going to hit dead ends. They key is to lock onto people who you know you can trust and are not easily duped by false leaks. Usually, they are the quiet ones. Follow the clues and get out of the maze... don't get stuck in the middle with the people who are tweeting out stuff like, Rees is a candidate.
