Alabama head coaching position being open changes the landscape of football. ADs and NFL execs around the nation are currently speaking with their coaches to avoid losing them to Bama. A national podcast and a few radio stations are worried that Bama is going to poach Kirby, Lanning, Harbaugh, Sark, Kiffin, McVay, etc etc. Things are going to be crazy here for a bit. Another weird tidbit I shared in the other thread. Maquis Maze tweeted that we had our guy already and Saban had called/spoke with them and a deal was in place already. I will be very glued to things when I thought I was gonna get a big break and some quiet time for a bit.

I’m sure CNS had 2 or maybe 3 names to present to the AD and president. They probably had their top pick and then with CNS’s input (about 90%) the choice was made. IMO I don’t think CNS would leave the Alabama program unless he felt the next coach could be as successful or even better.
