So with Ty leaving, that puts our QB room at 4…if Mack stays…if he leaves, we only have a RS freshman starter and 2 true freshmen as back up 😳
This is what kills me. Winning teams usually have an experienced QB and veteran leadership at every position. How are teams today supposed to find veteran leadership? No one wants to stay and earn more experience. Incidentally, the reason Indiana is so good is that their roster is filled with veterans at every position. I don't expect Bama to be very good next year, despite the talent infusion from the portal, because it takes time for a team to gel and become elite. Give me a veteran team over an uber talented team any day.

On3 reporting: (I added the pictures and condensed the info down to just what people want to know)

Jacarrius Peak (OT) will visit on Thursday along with DJ Chester (IOL)

Brock Riker (C) will visit soon as well, but he is very quiet right now and hasn't hinted at when/where he will visit anywhere. It is expected he will visit Bama though and soon.

Adam Watford (Punter) will be visiting Thursday

Cam Coleman (WR) expected to arrive Friday

Cody Sigler (DT) visited Auburn and MSST, canceled a visit to Oklahoma..Bama is trying to get him to visit, Penn State, Florida State are also trying to secure his visit.

Jordan Ross (EDGE) - Lots of chatter on both sides here. Bama is expecting a visit but no official dates have been set yet. Ross wants to be closer to home (Vestavia Hills) so Alabama makes a lot of sense there.

Easy you buy them every year.

Other Notes from Other Places as of Today:

Cam Coleman

Setting up a visit to Texas Tech, just finished his visit with the Aggies and Longhorns (Expected to arrive at tech on Wednesday) Rumors had it he'd make a surprise trip to Bama today, but I haven't heard anything on that and I don't believe anyone else has either. The plan was always for him to close on a trip to Bama Thursday or Friday. Texas and TAMU mods are already hedging their bets they both think Bama is the front runner since $$ isn't a big factor. Everyone seems to be in the same ballpark on NIL offers that I've seen so far (May change with Texas Tech throwing around 4-5 mil tomorrow)

Jacarius Peak

Took a trip to TAMU, Bama still trying to get in on his official visit. Nothing I've heard points to him jumping into bed with the Aggies just yet, I think he'll take another visit or two hopefully one of those is to Bama.

Jimothy Lewis

Visit went very well, Bama seems to be in the drivers seat, trying to close him down before he takes other visits

DJ Chester

Will be taking a visit soon, another possible inside piece or depth piece. Played as the 6th man for LSU this year coming in anywhere to fill in. He'll be visiting Thursday

Adam Watford

UNA Punter has had his name floated around lately as Bama seems to be highly interested in bringing him on board. Looking at his stats he averaged 46.6 yards per punt and a few of those were over 70 yards (3)

Malik Blockton

Interest is there, Bama reached out for a visit, seems both sides have interest, this one may move fast.

Watford's punting stats are awesome, but he'll only have one year of eligibility remaining. You think we'd spend NIL money or even a scholarship on a 1-season punter?

I mean, Lord knows we were lacking a true weapon 15 yards behind the line in field position situations, but I dunno... I figure if we're going to invest, it'd be more long-term.

But, who knows? Dowd sure left some field-flipping yards to be desired out there. Even for only a year, this kid would be an upgrade, I guess.

College football is now a one-year deal. Pay the kid and hopefully he can flip the field for us for change.
