I went to A-Day for two reasons.
1-wanted to see the QB's throw the ball around. Both have good arm strength, and both make pretty good decisions (for a spring game). I do think 12 has 10 beat on speed and agility. 12 is going to be the guy at some point in this season. If 10 gets the start early, he will be replaced due to bad decisions.
2-wanted to see what we have at RB. 17 has the ability to be a starter. He can run with quickness and agility. Recruiting is not science, but this kid does look like his film. If the other freshmen is near this cat, then we will have 3 RB's with 17 and 4 being the others. 0 and 6 are roster fillers and 6 was a simple recruiting mistake.
watched the punter and he hit a couple 55 yards from toe to receiver and several 50. He will be a little better than the last guy, but he is no Ray Guy.
Hard to see much from the OL/DL.
JMO but Kalen shot himself in the foot in year one with the hire of the OL coach thus we lost two years of where we actually should be. Not to say that the OL that didn't come with him would great, but it would be difficult to be worse that the guy he hired.
Year 3. Hard to believe we're already at this point. Seems like only yesterday Nick threw his keys at Byrne and quit. The Byrne gave Nick the key to the broom closet at Bryant/Denny and 500k to stick around.
8-4 or 9-3
Either will get him year 4 regardless of the noise.
