You can bet it'll be discussed in the SEC meetings early this summer.
There were a few schools who were against it last year. Where they stand this season? That's anyone's guess. If I recall correctly, the administration at Georgia was one of the groups that were adamantly against the 9-game schedule last summer. Considering they haven't had any turnover in the Ath. Dept in regard to football I'd assume their stance will remain the same. It seems there were a total of three schools against it last year?
That said, with UGA being left out of the BCS picture last season, they may rethink their position.
On a slightly related note:
This season we are looking at a 14 week regular season (versus 13 in previous years.) IF the NCAA would extend the season one week I think we'd find it a given that all of the major conferences would move to a 9-game regular season.
Personally, I believe the next major move we see is going to come with the Big12 going back to 12 games.
