| CURRENT EVENTS Wall to Wall: Russia, Russia, Russia. This Ukraine mess, what's your feelings on the matter?

This bothers me. It's poisonous, for lack of a better word. It's also the same mindset we see from terrorists when it comes to civilians. They're after leaders and look at those around them as the one's who made them leaders.

This ranks up there with those who with a gloating tone were tweeting images of people stranded because Apple and Google pay are no longer working.

This is the same as painting all Germans who didn't put their lives in jeopardy in WWI to stop Hitler as equal to the Nazis themselves. Very common today to say you are on one side or the other no matter what and refuse to see any shades of grey. Same folks would not put their lives on the line to save people in their own house usually.

Well...thank god they seized two yachts as well and their kids (supposedly) won't be able to attend western schools. I see they're suggesting Harris head over as well.

The strategical thinking of an eight year old rolling dice playing Risk.

This will be over soon.

I'm still shaking my head about POTUS asking Congress for 10B in aid for Ukraine when he was extorting their government over a million a few years ago (with regard to the crackhead.)

He has completely fucked his economy for quite some time in order to take over some pipelines that he has already built others to replace with.
You’re absolutely right about this being primarily an ideological war on Putin’s part … but you can bet he’s also very interested in how he’ll pay for his ideological war of aggression. He knows Ukraine has massive reserves of coal, natural gas, iron and especially rare earth minerals. He also knows Ukraine contains the most fertile crop land in all of what used make up the Soviet Union. Even his warped old Soviet KBG mind knows he has to care about the economics of running a nation as large as Russia. Islamist terrorists also wage war based upon economics though in a different dimension. They aren’t concerned with gaining any wealth from their attacks … they use their cowardly terror attacks to harm the economies of those nations they despise. They could have killed more people by flying planes into packed sports stadiums but they knew it wouldn’t harm the American economy as much as a strike on NYC and the Pentagon would … and the Capitol too. They only missed on it because a number of brave citizens sacrificed their lives to make sure their plane wasn’t going to be flown into any other buildings.

I think Russia is the #1 wheat exporter and Ukraine is #2. Maybe swapped but the gist of is that a combined 30% of world wheat is being threatened just before planting season. The CIA puts out paper that covers every country on the planet as to resources.

You would be right on Russia as #1..... We are #3, Ukraine is #5. Canada is #2, France #4. Based on the top 20 report 2 days ago.... Ukraine had actually moved up quite a bit from the last report I had seen on them being # 9.

It ain’t about money. ;)

I don't claim any of them anymore. My curmudgeon is too strong now. I am no longer a "get off my damn lawn" guy and more of a "get out of my damn statehouse/Congress" guy.
I'm hesitant to criticize those elected in other states because I had nothing to do with putting them in office. Graham I have to claim because it was a vote for him or Jaime Harrison.
