I do give that credit to Anderson. After seeing how he was used in the Tennessee game It had me realizing just how good he was by rushing the quarterback in a raw sense, not how our scheme was played. To be fair, I don't give Bryce's career to his coach either because Alabama's system did not make Bryce, Bryce Young was simply Bryce Young.
One of the guy's I truly credit with making his guys THAT much better was Burton Burns. His guys truly seemed to respond to him and he had some highly recruited backs, but they truly loved him and it seemed like he made a true difference in their growth and development.
Your statement does have me thinking though, and it is actually a great point. Which players do we feel gained their success from just talent and which players were developed and their ceiling was maximized by our coaching staff. Obviously they all get coached up, muscled up, and developed, but you hopefully you can understand what I mean. Guys like McCarron, Mac Jones, Hurts, and most of our prized linemen seemed to be developed. Guys like Bryce, Jeudy, Devonta, Henry, William Anderson, and Minkah all seemed to just have "it" when they arrived on campus. Would be a fun discussion amongst everyone.
