Got into a taxi in Istanbul in the early 80 ' s and the driver was wearing a Bama shirt

In 1998 my son spent the summer working on an archaeological dig 150 miles from Istanbul. They went into a small town near the dig for a meal one day and one of the street vendors had two ball caps for sale; a Dallas Cowboy and an Alabama. He bought the Bama cap for me. The color is a very faded red and the letters are trimmed in a pale gold. He gave the equivalent of $1.50 for the cap.

That is epic!!! So China haha. I saw the funniest knock off brands over there .. Mike (instead of Nike), Boke (instead of Bose), Geep (instead of Jeep), JMC (instead of GMC) .. Too funny.
