What baffles me is our batters will swing at pitches in the dirt. Then somehow will get lucky enough to hit one to center field, be out, and then as they go back to the dugout the team is laughing and patting each other on the back.
I don't disagree, but it's such a hard position too. He's six outs away from getting Alabama to its 15th WCWS. He's responsible for putting Alabama on the map and delivering the program's first and only title. However, it's so evident we're being passed by other programs. It'll be amplified by 100 too because the SEC is adding the best program in the country in Oklahoma.
I would like for him to stay, but I want him to change his philosophy and hire a real coach. But we all know he won't.
To me it obvious thatās a problem for him. Unlike our 2 greatest football coaches heās doesnāt want to surround himself with assistants that may know more about certain aspects of the game than him. JMO
It's as if Patrick Murphy is sitting in the dugout with a machete on his shoulder, ready to commence absolute carnage on anyone that provides the slighest spark in offense.
