We are just going to have to wait and see. Regardless of who is hired though, I don't think we will see a very big difference in the overall offensive system as compared to what we saw last season.

We're not hiring anyone, Coach Saban said we don't need a offense.
I'd say it depends on who comes in.

The OC has to know how get matchups and sequence playcalling.

A lot of comments were out there about what a great job Middleton had done with the special teams this past season. But, in reality, it was Saban's special teams playbook. Heck, Middleton even said that in his first few days in the job Saban walked in, handed him a playbook, and said, "there's the special teams."
To think a hire would make Saban change his offensive system is ludicrous. Pendry is running Saban's offense. The only thing a new coach brings to the table is a different opinion on game planning. It'll still be handled the same way. As to how the game is called, that'll change a bit but the offense as a whole won't.
While the offense was pretty offensive at times last year, it was improved over some of the crap we put up with from 03-06. Some improvement was shown.
When it didn't work, more often than not, it was execution somewhere that caused it to fail. And not to mention some of the defenses we played against this year. Teams that weren't good on defense really struggled against us. But teams like LSU, Auburn, and Miss State that featured strong defenses, gave us trouble.
