Looking at Ohio States defense this year with all those 5 stars, gotta believe Schiano underachieved as the DC. It is really dumbfounding with the Sandusky affair still following this guy around and Tennessee barely dug out in their Title IX suit they decide this is the best they can do.

I highly approve this hire.

I'd love to know who recommended & pushed for Schiano... Obviously enough of the boosters supported the hire...what about Haslam / Manning?

And Fulmer. Given manning and fat phil were brought onboard to provide oversight I can't believe Currie wouldn't run it by the 2 figureheads. Currie is in some deep hockey either way.

Tennessee has backed out of the agreement with Schiano due to protests on campus. Not sure if the protests were due to Schiano's tenure during the Sandusky tenure, his lack of head coaching success or a combination of the two.
