Pfffft, Oregon needs to take care of their business before they start talking.
I totally agree with you.
A few notes on the Tenn game:
1. I was on the 30 yard line row 6 so I was basically at field level.
2. The link says the SEC chant came from the student section...... school wasn't in session yet and the "student section" wasn't what we usually expect, more a mix of locals and students.
3. The crowd was pretty quite for that game.
4. Tenn offensive line was billed as the "BEST" in the SEC and they didn't perform well.
5. Tenn QB had a difficult time figuring out the Oregon defense, where they were coming from, what set they were in etc.
6. Tenn committed to stopping the run and left the passing game open. Granted prior to this game, Oregon hadn't thrown the ball well this year. Still anytime the TE has 5 catches for 120 yards, chances are good the defense was too focused on the run and left the TE open.
NOTE: People around the country have been subjected to the SEC chant in past years. The problem for the SEC is that's a "CONFERENCE" chant claiming superiority. The SEC fans have to expect the chant to come back at them when they get run over by an opponent. It's something the SEC created and they should be mature enough to live and die with the chant regardless of the outcome.
