🏈 Oregon Fans "We want Bama"

Here's another thought: Once an Auburn-graduate pharmacist behind the counter said something to me, the customer in an Alabama shirt. It was during the time of the Tuberville fingers. So low class. She had to crow about the Auburn win. I really didn't like her. I wanted to cross that counter and throttle her. But I didn't, because I'm a lady. I just waited for the Alabama renaissance that I knew was coming. Winning is the best revenge.
I know many civilized Auburn fans who don't do that. I have dear friends and relatives who love Auburn and Georgia. They attended those schools. We don't throw stones.

Maybe it's because in the south, we try to be cordial. It seems simple to understand.

You know, I did the weirdest thing yesterday—something I thought I'd never do. I said "War Eagle." Lord help me. I always want other SEC teams to win, because Bama looks so much better when they eventually beat them. But there was something about watching Manziel and A&M go down. The smirky little twerp, with his smack talking attitude.

Anyway, since it's Sunday I thought I would confess. It's not about the SEC being dominant. It's about Alabama beating teams that win. I didn't chant "SEC" to my TV or sing Rocky Top. But that was a crazy day. And Auburn had their moment.

That would be her mouth. Grandma speaking here.

Indeed. LOL.

As for the game, towards the end when Manziel was showing his mettle by playing injured and even tried to run and dodge, I was definitely going for them. I also liked the way, earlier when he first became injured and sidelined, he had his towel boys drop those towels that he knew they were using to shield him from the media... which at the time, he wasn't aware were looming overhead. I don't know Johnny, never met him, but from what I have casually observed in his face at key points of games and seen of his relationship with game mates on the sideliness, I definitely think he'd be a pretty cool guy to sit down and have a beer with. Not saying he doesn't say or make mistakes (that's how young people grow... and ALL young people F'up to one degree or another)... but the media (sports and otherwise) propaganda machine that purposely seeks out and selectively choose events in people's lives to paint often prejudicial images of them just to torque our engines can kiss my ass. I'll do my own painting... and torquing :icon_scratch: when it comes to liking someone or having an opinion of them? LOL.

PS: Not having a go at anyone here btw. Just ranting against the always-biased-how-we-make-money-and-generate-ratings MEDIA.

I know. I need to work harder to forgive Johnny Football for his behavior that makes me crazy. It's my problem and I am going to work on it. Really. I going to. But for now I still feel he is a showboater and a selfish brat. Regarding his orders to his towels boys, how do we know he doesn't love the media when he feels like the hero? Aren't the cameras always overhead? Mea culpa.
