🏈 Nick Bosa leaving OSU

Lots of guys have and will be quitting on their team towards the end of the year.... Just see that, much like everything else in today's world, being expedited by a dozen games or so

They already have, so not that surprising. The playoffs have done this to the bowl season. I haven't seen anyone take their junior year off to get in football shape. I believe Bosa was really hurt and I'm willing to assume he knew he couldn't get back and play at a high level. Otherwise, why would he quit on a team with a legitimate chance at a national championship? His brother Joey got his in 2014, I'm sure a lot of thought went into this.

A healthy draft status could be worth more to an elite prospect that a National Championship... Especially if someone was to already have one... ;)

Just saying, all it takes is an agent to get in mom/dad's ear and this could easily happen. So far you're certainly right... Just one of my crazy prognostications

Yep. A rogue agent....with nothing to lose...screw up a kid and walk away....
Will happen

This is a tough one. No one truly knows the rehab time involved here. I do think his dad is trying to lean on the effort his son plays with for not being a full go during the playoffs, but I call BS on that. Tough injury fo sho, but I think an agent got in his head, offered to cover the bills, and they decided to do that rather than open up a potential can of worms with a re-injury before the combine. I hate it, because I have read where he will go on to be a top pick, millionaire, and play football for a living, but most of his teammates, this will be their last chance ever on the field and could use his help to go win a National Championship which would be the highlight of most of their lives. I'm sitting in a spot where I would not leave. Hard for me to believe Ohio State doesn't have as good of a medical team as other top programs or outside parties. Jalylon Smith from Notre Dame and now the Cowboys said he wouldn't change playing in the Fiesta Bowl for anything, and he said that when he was hurt and knew there was a chance he'd never walk right again. Different strokes for different folks, but he was always going to be a top pick, whether or not I think so, but ditching like this just leaves me questioning his motivation. It's difficult, because he's not me and I'm not him.

He may also see the writing on the wall that they wont win the ship this year. He is hurt and doesn't want to risk his 30-40 million dollars. He probably also doesn't want to keep going to class. Sorry but that's a business decision and I don't blame him. especially with what has happened lately in the NFL about guys getting talked into playing and then getting hurt. The team isn't going to pay them anymore. OU isnt going to give him 30 mill if he plays. Bosa has given alot to OU. Now he is looking out for himself. Going to a bowl game or maybe getting to the playoffs to loose to Bama and risking getting hurt wont make up for a 30 million dollar loss.

Michael Porter Junior was drafted by the Nuggets this year with the very last lottery pick (16). He was injured suuuper early in his freshman season and tried to come back for the conference tourney... Looked bad and re agrivated his back injury. Was basically the top prospect coming into college and fell at minimum 10 picks. Now he's questionable to even play this season.

Had he gone 4th he makes 13 Mill, instead he's making 6.4. Was the juice worth the squeeze? Something these kids have to ask themselves. And something the agents could easily manipulate. And I'm very comfortable saying that agents are absolutely working on these kids earlier than allowed already.
