As for the Milroe/Hurts comparison. Milroe is like Hurts' evil stepbrother. When Milroe is on, watch out. When he's off, watch out. I don't recall Hurts killing us with turnovers like Milroe has. It's like Milroe can't help it when something goes wrong, he tries to hit a 5 run grand slam when you can only have a 4-run grand slam.

I turn into a raging hemroid when that dude runs out of bounds for a loss.... Throw that ball into the bleachers! I mean pure, losing my breath RAGE.

Hurts would always chuck that ball away to live to fight another day.

I simply cannot understand why this is so hard to avoid.

I only mention it because I think there's some fans who just picture him walking around the visiting locker room whistling and asking players if they like grape or strawberry Uncrustables better.

I've been hearing that those things are like catnip in locker rooms for players. When I heard the bill that NFL teams pay for that stuff... what in the actual F is that about? Damn millenials. 😂

Re: DeBoer's mood... Was told DeBoer was not in a good mood immediately following the game Saturday night. Not sure the specifics on exactly why, or if it was just an all encompassing cloud of anger... but he supposedly wasn't happy. Nor should he have been.
@Brandon Van de Graaff what do you know about the mood in the locker room? Seems like a lackadaisical effort on the field at times but is it an overall attitude issue or something else?

This is just is what I think and may be way off base, but Nick talked about handling adversity. Ok you threw a pick, how do you respond? I think this is a struggle for Milroe. He was off all night. I could see it in his eyes, in his actions, he was gone. And as much as a leader as he is, I think everyone feeds off that and I think he pulled the whole offense down. “Attitude reflects leadership, captain” - Remeber the Titans.
Defense was pulled down by Lawson going down but I still defend that group. They have lost how many and are still doing a decent job.
Again just the Dudes 2 cents but if Milroe gets rattled Saturday there needs to be a plan to pull him.

I've not heard anything indicating there are any serious issues. I have heard that a lot of the rumors out there about there being major issues are not true. There are some knuckleheads on the roster that would be better served elsewhere, and I expect to see some culling in that area soon. There have been effort issues at times with some guys which honestly, I don't have a great answer for. It has been frustrating to see and I think the staff is frustrated by it as well. I will say, it seems to be an issue throughout college football though from what I can tell... Isee it every week from teams, SEC and beyond, good teams and bad. I've never seen it as widespread as I have this season. As to why that is, I don't know. Logic would point to how much they are paid now and they have easy outs if they want to bolt to another team... but I just don't know. Maybe if I start seeing some of the same folks who are dogging it be the same ones who transfer out of some places, I'll connect those 2 dots in marker.

Milroe is now in that position like some guys in the past. One that comes to mind is Vinnie. He left after a not-so-special junior year but evidently thought there was not much else to learn or improve on in college. I have no idea if that was accurate, but Milroe, if he weighs coming back, it’s to stand idle on the sideline if he wants to stay at QB. I’m feeling more confident that there’s no way he comes back.

I can't imagine him getting pulled at this point in the year.
Understood and maybe we are a win or die with Milroe. If he gets off to a great start, no problem. We probably roll and win. But I would have pulled him in the 2nd qtr Saturday just to wake him up. He was in a fog. He wasn’t leading. Nick did it at USF LY to wake him up. He knew he was the best QB but needed a Wake up call. He responded. Very well too. Props to Milroe. He’s a competitor. If I was (and the dude ain’t) CKD, I’d start Simpson and then give it to Jalen. He’d be pissed and kill Auburn.

This talk about CKD not being happy, why would he be? With that said he hired the guys on the staff and he knew what the game plan was and as head coach can change it at any time. Is he as engaged in the game plans as he needs to be or has he delegated that to the coordinators?

As far as effort goes, you are either coaching it or allowing it. If you do not have a plan B or cannot make adjustments that is coaching. Mediocre

Inconcistent QB play is a major killer in the end.... Still the most dissappointing thing was the game plan and play calling. QB runs were not going to work with Venables game plan. That was obvious after the 1st series. The RB runs on the other had was working but play calling did not lean into that. Why not? Does not seem that difficult to see to me. The offensive side was not the only issue. Allowing the QB to run and the edge running plays and nobody setting the edge was maddening.

One thing I'll say to that is, Milroe kept the ball on several zone reads when he should have given it up... why he kept it so much, I don't know (hero ball maybe?). I thought he had made some really good strides earlier this season in his zone read decisions, but looking back, it was apparently either luck or the level of competition. But if he hands a few of those off, the holes were there for some nice gains. That part, at least, isn't on Sheridan... he had the offense in a spot to win with those calls, and Milroe made the wrong read/decisions.

I was curious about that also with regards to it being a milroe decision. I saw the RB hole open and he kept it. My answer to that is to not call a read option but straight up running play. If he is not making good decisions do not give him the option to make that decision.

And losing yards running sideways/backwards.

100% correct. I can recall a handful of plays where Miller easy clips off 5-10 yards if given the ball. A lot of those were when we were still in the game early.
