šŸˆ Alabama and the 2025 NFL draft:

I wish only the best for Jalen, and we'll see about the combine and pro day, but I'm not seeing a lot from the NFL forums and draft services that have him ranked in the top 10 let alone the #3 pick in the original post. Many have him graded as a 2n d or 3rd round prospect. Now, as others have pointed out, it only takes one team to fall in love with him, and QB-needy teams often panic on draft day. But I would not expect him to be drafted until late in the first round at best, unless he shows something at the combine and pro day.

Second or third round still makes good money for an early 20s year old.

The Super Bowl is this week, and the NFL world will be watching the Chiefs attempt to win a third straight title in New Orleans, Louisiana. Either Kansas City or Philadelphia could make history, as seven former Crimson Tide players could earn a Super Bowl ring if Philadelphia pulls off an unprecedented upset on Sunday.

Jalen Hurts
Landon Dickerson
Tyler Steen
DeVonta Smith
Eli Ricks
Byron Young (Injured Reserve)
Cameron Latu (Reserve/Future)

Following the Super Bowl in early February, the NFL world will converge on Indianapolis, Indiana, for the NFL combine. Two months later, the big weekend will be here with the 2025 NFL draft.

Between now and late April, more mock drafts will be run and posted than ever, with this year's draft expected to be one of the wildest in recent memory. ESPN released its latest mock draft, with two former Alabama superstars drafted in the first round.

The first Crimson Tide player taken off the board is linebacker Jihaad Campbell - who led the Crimson Tide in tackles (119) and sacks (5). Campbell came off the board at No. 18, drafted by the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks will look to replace their top linebacker from 2024, with Ernest Jones IV set to become an unrestricted free agent once the new league year begins in March.

Seven picks later, a second Alabama player came off the board, with Tyler Booker heading to the Houston Texans. It would be a familiar fit for Booker, who would join Will Anderson Jr., John Metchie III, Henry To'oTo'o, and Christian Harris as Alabama alum playing in Houston. In addition, Houston is coached by former Alabama linebacker DeMeco Ryans - a familiar face to many Crimson Tide fans. Houston is looking for offensive line help after their starting quarterback, CJ Stroud, was the second-most sacked quarterback in the NFL last season. Stroud was brought to the ground behind the line of scrimmage 52 times in 2024.

The rest of the two-round mock draft via ESPN had no Alabama players drafted, notably leaving out Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe (who struggled last week at the Senior Bowl) and safety Malachi Moore.

Despite his struggles at the Senior Bowl, ESPN's Mel Kiper still has Milroe as one of the top-five quarterbacks heading into the 2025 draft.

How very quaint Mike Gundyā€™s ā€œIā€™m a man!ā€ speech sounds these days. Hell players are often making more than their coaches lol.

This is often why I come across as way less compassionate, because as I have said before, "you want to make big boy money, then be prepared to be treated and analyzed like a big boy". You no longer get that grace when you make millions.

I understood he would not get NIL any longer. That is why I said it could be a pay cut if he goes in the late rounds.
He'll still get money from LANK just like Moore will get money from ITAWC proceeds. Former athletes at UA are getting paid from the 2.78 billion dollar lawsuit. I don't see how, if they are paying former athletes due to the NCAA settlement on NIL, they (future grads) won't be getting paid in the future.

Jalen should go in the USL league and gain experienceā€¦
Stallions lost Adrain Martinez to the Jets. Gonna need someone for the 3peat. They did get Alex McGough back from the Packers. He had moved to WR with them, but I'm guessing he'll move back to QB at B'ham and they still have Matt Corral, but he just hasn't panned out too well.

He could get used to a little more speed than college and a ā€œhard practiceā€ NFL speedā€¦ maybe he would get better and a little bit more humble..

I would think revenue for LANK is way down after last season.

Seems like only stupid people would be buying it....
