I got a bit of a chuckle out of what Hamilton had to say here. "I didn't want anyone to think this resignation happened due to the NCAA investigation/hearing."

No matter the fact that the two coaches that are in trouble...well, you hired them Miike. And when all the reports started surfacing about both Pearl and Kiffin you stood behind them vehemently.

I doubt there's a soul outside of the UT fan base that doesn't see this as a "scapegoat" measure with the upcoming hearings...

His leaving was inevitable. The only surprise was that they waited until the eve of the hearings.
