🏈 Jeremy Pruitt seeks court order against NCAA to allow hire by FBS school

If you are going to use a gif to make a point, at least use a gif that makes a point. It's fitting he's rubbing his eyes. You saw a commercial for steak at Arby's and said, "I'm in."

Tell me if this is so frustrating. Where's a J Allen, today, to fit in his scheme at Bama? (There is an emphasis to spend more on DT's in this recruiting class, BTW.) The talent, sans the secondary, isn't on the same levels. It's just like LSU: they cant horde talent on the DL like they used to be able to.

Now, we have a staff with some consistency, and you're wanting it torn apart?
Lol, when did I say I wanted it torn apart? Never said that, my point was if Wommack were to leave for a head coaching job after this year, that I would like us to try and get Pruitt. I know that's not likely, and what will probably happen is deboer promotes someone on his staff currently, or he goes and gets someone he's worked with before, like maybe Tom Allen. I've even talked about other candidates like Shiel Wood, or Jim Knowles as a possibility. Another unlikely dream hire is venables, he'd have to lose out for that to even have a chance.

But never, not once, did I say I wanted this staff torn apart. Staff leaving is a part of the game, the more success you have, the more it's likely going to happen.

It's entirely up to Deboer if he wants any part of Pruitt if he was able to get the job. I don't know what he personally wants in his defensive coordinator's, but Pruitt would without a doubt be a great DC for this program. Again, this is if Wommack is gone after this season. And if the only way we can continue that continuity you talked about is either Wommack staying, or deboer promoting morrell, or one of the other positions coaches as his DC. Unless he just promotes from within all the time, then there's going to be lack of continuity because guys are going to take other jobs and move around.

Can you find where you've suggested that? I haven't seen that conversation.

I think this post may be getting at the real issue and it is not related to coaching ability. Does not seem like we have the talent on the DL we have had. Either that or we are not coaching them up and need a DL coaching change We first have to agree what we are seeing is a problem and not ok instead of pointing to scoreboards/efficiency numbers. Explosive run plays and seeing the DL get whipped or being in the wrong gap is what I am seeing with my own eyes. Efficiency numbers just simply do not tell that story in my view whereas ypg average does.

My post takes this away from the argument specifically about Pruitt which honeslty I do not know if his D's would do any better. Certainly would not if we do not have better players and/or coaching at the DL.

BTW I feel the same about the OL and the run game. I have another theory that could be contributing to what we are seeing as well. The CKD scheme does not harden these guys in practice like say a Stallings and/or CNS scheme did and it shows up in games when physicaltiy is required.

Im gonna bookmark this point about talent to talk about later on, because I really need to head to bed. Lol, I keep coming back.

Do you know he hasn't? No.

You coukd say that some of our current coaches haven't been able to accomplish that, so why immediately close it down? I'm not saying Pruitt is a viable option, but to immediately shut it down for this reason is laughable.
It's not the only thing I mentioned in this thread, Casey. Come on, now.

I get that, but it's a piece of it all to go along with saying he's a dick and will that work. A few different points that don't align with anything more than an opinion.

Talent was also brought up, but why hasn't development been brought up? Is that a thing of the past? We talk about DeBoer recruiting well. So is he or isn't he? A coach like Pruitt can get more out of a guy than so many already out there. We do know that. Look at Mac Wilson and Reuben Foster. Plenty of talent, but had to learn to be football players.

Based on his appearance, I think you misspelled hare.

What's your point here? UGA isn't the same as it was a few years ago. The talent base has evened out across the board.

My point is that an asshole attitude can absolutely create results. Georgia is a Top 5 team, and was last year, so this drop off you're speaking to, where is that?

Cignetti comes across as a Mr. Roger's type too...

I've been criticizing Freddie Roach and that defensive line for years. Within this football season I've said it looks to be a make or break year for him. And, I think it's about time: as a defensive line coach.
Efficiency numbers just simply do not tell that story in my view whereas ypg average does.
To me, this makes no sense at all. Let's look at Tennessee. They drove the field twice in the last quarter and came away with what? A lot of time lost on the clock and the defense stood up. It wasn't about the yards. It is always about the points.

Efficiency numbers would tell you how many points were scored on those yards per game. If it's lower than normal; it's a good defensive effort.
How can people look at points per possession in basketball and begin to understand Oats' system but not look at points per drive and understand this defense?

Cig in a Bill Curry sweater. That sounds like something you'd ask Grok to create.

That asshole attitude can be going against this culture today. If you don't see the UGA program leveling off...we see the elimination of divisions and we see three UGA losses last year.

There are different "cultures" throughout the SEC right now that all are working, right now. From DeBoer, to Kirby, to Elko, and to Lane.

I didn't say drop off, I said falling apart. The original structure is, and has been. UGA should be a top five team every year. I'm not taking away something from Kirby here.

And interesting look would be seeing how their efficiency numbers look this season. YPG is higher, are points? I haven't looked since week five. If you go to Bobo on offense, are you evolving?
