šŸˆ Jeremy Pruitt seeks court order against NCAA to allow hire by FBS school

How do you know? Yes, he was good a few years ago. Do we know he's adjusted to the modern offenses we see today? No.
This is the concept that's lost on everyone.... I don't think Pruitt would do well against Ole miss, TN and Mizzou offense this year. He's more likely gonna be like Kirby ... on defense and I don't think we need him at all. Folks are stuck on past.. not the future.

I could not disagree more. Y'all about to make me start a whole thread on this. He's seen modern offenses before, and has shut them down. Two games I can think of where he gave up a ton of yards through the air and points is the Ole Miss game in 2016, and the natty against Clemson that year as well.

He completely shut down Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Washington. And in 2017 shut down Florida state, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Auburn. He's seen all this stuff before.

Teams today are running the same offenses they were then when he was coaching at Alabama. What we see now isn't some foreign , or new concept. Teams then ran 10, 11 personnel.... split you out wide by running trips or 2x2 formations. Lot of Rpo stuff to now, right? Well, he saw that against Tennessee, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Auburn(bit different).

Again, this isn't anything new to him. He's game planned, and called plays against what we see now countless times.

He's seen those offenses today when he was coaching at Alabama. I promise you, what we're seeing now isn't new. He would absolutely be able to have success against it.
And yet, we have Tennessee. That defense wasn't special.

You're also suggesting DeBoer bring someone in that we have no clue as to whether he wants any part of Pruitt.

One of the reasons this staff is working well this season is the continuity and you are suggesting Pruitt would be a good insertion. I have to wonder if you know Pruitt.

And then we've got the baggage...Saban was willing to accept that. We can't speak for DeBoer.

It was, and was really good in 17, and would've been good his entire tenure there had he stayed.

And this is a whole other conversation, I thought we were strictly talking about his ability to coach against offenses you suggested he wouldn't be able to.... when he already has.

It's entirely up to Deboer if he wants any part of Pruitt if he was able to get the job. I don't know what he personally wants in his defensive coordinator's, but Pruitt would without a doubt be a great DC for this program. Again, this is if Wommack is gone after this season. And if the only way we can continue that continuity you talked about is either Wommack staying, or deboer promoting morrell, or one of the other positions coaches as his DC. Unless he just promotes from within all the time, then there's going to be lack of continuity because guys are going to take other jobs and move around.

You understand you're reaching this time....
