If both were in their prime, who would have won: Joe Frazier vs. Larry Holmes?
Holmes. His jab would be the difference maker
Wasn't that Ken Norton?I would choose Frazier. Didn't he break Ali's jaw in one of their fights.
I think so too!But I would pick Frazier.
Wasn't that Ken Norton?
Joe Frazier floored Muhammed Ali and broke his jaw with a left hook in round 15 during their first encounter in 1971, but Ali shook his head as if to say that it didn't hurt. In the fight of the Century. I was also Ali first fight back after his changing his name.
So it look like both broke Ali jaw.Ali was outmaneuvered by Norton's unorthodox fighting style, which involved jabbing from below and crossing his hands for defence. As the final bell rang, Norton won on a split decision, igniting a controversy in the boxing world. Soon after the fight, Ali was treated in hospital for a broken jaw. This happen in 1973.
Could be...Wasn't that Ken Norton?
Both broke his jaw!Could be...
Both being Norton and Frazier. I recall Holmes being more of a boxer where as Fraizer and Norton having a lot more power and being brawlers..Both broke his jaw!
Yep, unfortunately for him he came through at the wrong time otherwise he would have been viewed as one of the greatest. Was overshadowed by Ali who I never really cared for.Joe Frazier was ....unbelievable....
Just happened to run into the greatest fighter/athlete in history...
IMO
He also didn't fare so well against George Foreman.Joe Frazier was ....unbelievable....

Ali n frazier beat eac otherr so bad. Neither were the great fighter they were before #1He also didn't fare so well against George Foreman.
Ahh, the phantom punch. I have to admit, it looked like a dive, but no proof. My Grandpaw firmly believed Liston took a dive against Ali.,
