I don't have much time today for too deep of a dive into this, but suffice to say A&M is really, really good. They took over the #1 spot after Bama took the series from the Hogs last weekend... The Aggies don't have the arms the Hogs do, but that's very relative because Arkansas is just that good. A&M's staff is more than legit (they have the 2nd lowest ERA in the conference). At the plate, they are a bit scary. Much like Tennessee and UGA, they can mash it. They are also patient at the plate which will work in their favor if the Tide staff can't consistently find the zone. Bama can't afford to give them free bases. On the flip side, Bama's offense has sparked back to life a bit after the lineup shuffle after the Kentucky series. Hopefully some of those warm bats can get hotter over the weekend. On the shorter week, Bama will slide Farone into tonight's spot, Hess keeps his Friday slot, and Zane Adams who threw a gem against the Hog on Sunday is slated to get the ball on Saturday. The Tide continued their "good" in-conference play at home last weekend... that's starting to become an identity... this team is just much more comfortable at The Joe. They've already taken down Arkansas and the current #4 Tennessee, and #20 South Carolina at the Joe (2 games to 3 each weekend). If the Tide can do the same to the Aggies, it'll be a huge statement and really set them up well from a resume standpoint when it comes time to assign the host regional sites.

Picture honestly looked like a few games I attended at the end of the Barry Shollenberger era. Would actually be more people in both dugouts combined than what was in the bleachers.

A&M woke up. They lead 9-5, B6.
