| GAME THREAD đźŹ€ Illinois vs Alabama 🏀 - Bama 100-87 over Illinois

86-77 now. Could have been 90-70 but now turnovers and bad D plague Alabama from really finishing games. Happened against Arkansas State, McNeese State, and now it's happening vs Illinois. Team just won't learn. Early season or not, this is concerning.

Offense and depth are really good. D needs a lot of work. Gave up 50 points in the 2nd half. Gotta be better than that. I was looking at Sears body language to see if he was going sulk a little bit. I think he was trying to support his team but was obviously dissapointed in his performance. He is to good of a shooter to stay in this funk. The big center needs to defend without fouling if he is going to help the team. He is not helping when he is sitting on the bench for long stretches of time in foul trouble.

Well good win against a likely tournament team. This team still has a long way to go, but we know we have something special in Philon running this offense. Defense continues to have bad mental lapses where they play just bad D and get beat. Idk maybe it'll get better as the season progresses, but I was hoping a lot more from them.

Offense played well. Just like @bamafan9201 said, it's wild that it's the veterans are struggling and not the newcomers. Sears held scoreless; Wrightsell had a floater but I don't think he did much; and Stevenson had yet another dismal performance. But Nelson, Philon, Sherrell, Cliff, Reid, and Holloway all played really good basketball. That's a good ass unit right there. I have no doubt Sears and Wrightsell will get out of their funk.
