You've got to be kidding...

Could you ever imagine any other BCS conference having such problems that they would have to go to that level?

I don't know why you're surprised... it's the ACC and basketball season has started - they've got better things to do.

As they say in business...

Location. Location. Location.

Playing the game in Tampa is the mistake. Jacksonville is no better.

You put that game on Tobacco Row...it's a winner.

They (the ACC) asked for it. They pick sites that are not good for the conference.

Boston College is 1351 miles away and Virgina tech is about half that. With the way the economy is, people are not going to fly and driving is alot of money and time. And BC is a small school. The fan base is not huge!

There will be alot of Va Tech people there because thats there vacation for the year. But still. They should have it in D.C. or somewhere in the middle.

where would you have it played?

right off the top of my head, i would think the Carolina Panthers stadium would be the only choice

Carolina
FedEX field (where the Washington Redskins play)
JFK staduim (who cares its a ACC game)
Pittsburgh?
Philly? (its cold though, thats why they pick Florida)
hahah, play it where they used to play the D-III Championships in Salem, VA.

They could still play in ATL...just different weekend.

That would by my guess because it makes the most sense logistically.

I-77 runs through...I-85 runs through...
