šŸ“ I hope someone at Yea Alabama is already on this movie idea

We all have probably seen the movie Rudy, about the real life story of the walk-on player at ND.

Then the movie Blindside, about the star offensive tackle at Ole Miss.

Recently I’ve watched the following kid movies with my daughter:

and

Like Rudy and Blindside, these are also true stories. They also serve as promotional movies about the football programs at Texas and Clemson.

Bama needs to reach out to Hurts’s agent and brainstorm how to do a movie about his storybook career. If we need to share some revenue with Oklahoma, so be it. But I think Bama could be well served doing a movie like all these schools are now doing these days.

@musso reading your title again? I'd hope it's not involved with YA. If their apparel designs are an indication of their creativity and production skills it's a HARD pass.

I've seen this reposted a few times on X in the last several hours. Me? I'd rather read than watch. He had a point; can't really tell one story about the time at UA without telling the other guys story.

They could be doing SO much better in this category and rake in the money. The Peter Millar collaboration was good, but they should be killing it in the t-shirt market, as well as autographed items, and game worn memorabilia. So much potential.

Oh I only mentioned YA because I thought they were the main vehicle for raising NIL funds. I’m just suggesting using his story as a means of fundraising and/or promoting Bama football in a similar way that other programs have done. If ND, Texas, Clemson, and to a lesser degree, Ole Miss can all promote their brand in film, so can we. And if his story would involve feeding too many mouths (OU, NFL, etc.), then there are many other stories in our lore we could tell on the big screen.
Me? I'd rather read than watch.
Not so with the general population.

Err, forgot the link (below.)

I rarely visit FoxSports.com anymore because they are almost all video. It's becoming the same case with ESPN.com. (Literally, who would dream you have to pay extra—ESPN+—to read about something versus watch a :90 clip!?!)

I don't want Yea Alabama to be involved. This needs to be Jalen Hurts project. Something his people needs to be involved with. Honestly right now, I wouldn't do any documentary until he's at the end of his career.
IF Miami (Tua) wins the SB you've got a good conclusion for both guys.

I came pretty close to sending you a text this past week on the t-shirts. Did you see the one with the state outline and the number four (inside the state lines?)

How on earth do you do something like that, and don't use the "four fingers" like they hold up for the fourth quarter? I mean, geez!! It's right in front of you!

You might be able to do that, Casey...on a hat would be really cool! :devilish:

(Now, Outdoor Cap needs to add some colors.)

Ha, yes they do.

I did see that shirt and thought they could have done a ton better considering it was our first Final 4.
