🧑‍🍳 I have gotten a lot of great recipes on here!

Enchiladas are one of the few dishes where I can't think of a time I've ever said no thank you. I'll maintain Waffle House has one of the best cheeseburgers at 5 AM you'll find...if WH had enchiladas? Oh gawd...would I be there every day?
I cant do a waffle house burger but I do like their chicken and eggs with hash browns.

Coincidence? Irony? I don't know. Funny? Yeppers.

At first you are going to get mad at the kid...until you hear "tomatoes." Now he's just a little asshole with a point.

Yeah my mom wouldn't put up with that crying nonsense. You ask for a hamburger, you get a hamburger. You don't like it? Too bad. Kid gets hungry enough, he'll eat the hamburger.

I first came across this guy watching Gutfeld! I've been following him on X for a minute. I really like this guy.

If you know, you know. I'm playing with baby potatoes today.

It's just like pizza dough and making your own ...

Listen to me. There is a key to a good fry. It's the dish.

A thick, home-cut fry goes with a steak. It doesn't go with a burger.

A big burger? That's your shoe-string fries.

Normal, like a #1 at Sonic. A regular French fry.

It's meal dependant.

Tell me I'm wrong.

I liked this idea.

I'm going to do this one in the next few days. The grocery order thing is on the schedule today.

I'm adding Gouda cheese to the sausage. The roll he makes? I'm going to flatten that out then sporadically added grated (maybe small chunks, thinking about this one) of the cheese.

The seed topping looks nice but I'm going to forgo that addition.

A chives and butter baste topping it with a handful of minutes left baking...would add color with some paprika sprinkled.

I get that. Mine wouldn't either.

But.

The kid has a point. It's not expressed very well. But a point none the less.

@sean I'm guessing you are about the average age of us here. So ...

I can remember, as a kid, when getting lettuce and tomato on a burger was a new thing for fast food. "Look what we've done!!!" (Yeah, the same shit we do at home, but...)

It's funny, right? "The Whopper" was what you had at any cookout. Damn, I've had mayo and ketchup on a burger: Big Mac.

Here's one I bet you guys will like if you try it...it's a salmon steak thing I'm doing for lunch.

1:1 with dijon mustard and syrup. I'm using maple today. I've used honey, even homemade pancake syrup I made with brown sugar.
Minced garlic. Like S&P, it's to taste. I'm going with about three cloves.
Olive Oil.

There's your marinade for about an hour ... maybe two. Then, broil, grill...I'm baking. 🙃

Parchment paper covered with a garlic REAL butter combo so nothing sticks ...

There are about an 1/2" thick...so I'm going 425 for 15, baking.

Tumeric rice is your contrast...asparagus is the likely side.

Yeah, again. Just shut up.

Yeah, as a parent I'd be embarrassed, sure wouldn't have posted it. I can tell you what would've happened if I or my kids had acted like that and I probably would've go to bed hungry that night. Too young to be an asshole with a point, he needs to be out on his own to act like that😂

Your syrup doesn't burn at that temp? Never tried it just figured it would.

I'm not a big fry guy but give me some seasoned curly fries when I do have them. Shoestring would be my second choice and you can have the steak fries. Restaurant quality fries are just too much work for me to do at home, I'll buy some frozen ones first.

Marinade. It's not cooked in the syrup. The outside gets a bit 'crisp,' but not burnt. It has made it fork cuttable, and you can stab a piece.

The pancake syrup try ... didn't like. the maple has been the best, so far.

It's tricky here. You can't marinate it too long. That's the reason I mentioned the thickness. You can't have a chunk of the marinade laying on the fish. It'll burn.

I dont know where my phone is or I'd take a pic. So, here goes...

You know the smoke ring on brisket? That little line that runs just under the crust? You don't want the marinade to soak any further in a salmon steak than what would be comparable to that ring; that smoke line.

I'm not stabbing the salmon steak like Susan Atkins. It's enough to get what I want.

I don't do restaurant fries. They ruin them.

I'll argue, processed food.

Funny. We're back to sugar here.

Definitely processed at most places but it's really the only fry I want to eat in the rare occasions I eat them. Don't remember the last time I had fries, some time last year.

I did see a blooming potato recipe I'm thinking about trying. Cook it that way then toppings on it like a bbq or carne asada baked potato type dish.
