As Idaho Grows Ever Redder, Boise Worries About Its Isolation

One reason I subscribe to the New York Times is to read opposition material. I really had to chuckle at this one, with the Times lamenting those poor liberals in Boise being crowded out by the rest of an increasingly conservative state. People away from the coasts in Virginia and California, away from Atlanta in GA, southern Illinois far from Chicago, and so on have suffered from large urban centers dictating liberal politicians and policies. It's funny to read the travails of poor Boise.

Would be nice if votes had a weight based system,

pay income taxes, own land, own a home, high school graduate vote counts as 1

Pay income taxes, rent, graduate 0.75

Don't pay taxes, receive government benefits, no job, government housing, vote counts 0.10
