🧑‍🍳 I have gotten a lot of great recipes on here!

@sean I'm guessing you are about the average age of us here. So ...

I can remember, as a kid, when getting lettuce and tomato on a burger was a new thing for fast food. "Look what we've done!!!" (Yeah, the same shit we do at home, but...)

It's funny, right? "The Whopper" was what you had at any cookout. Damn, I've had mayo and ketchup on a burger: Big Mac.
Ain't no lettuce or tomato going on my burgers. That stuff belongs in salad, NOT on my burger. The only vegetables I'll allow are onions and pickles.

Bottom bun (toasted)
Any sauce that's not ketchup; i.e. mayo (but NOT mustard)
Pickles
Meat
Cheese
Bacon
Ketchup
Onions
Top bun (toasted)

This is a patty melt with bacon. 🤷‍♂️

It's a bacon cheeseburger to me. Also, I thought patty melts didn't use hamburger buns. Don't they use sourdough?
It's Texas toast, I think. But the question is, "what do I know?"

I'll put a patty on two pieces of bread and it'll be a hamburger before I'm done. In my mind's eye, at least.

Going back to the kid. He said it had pickles and the meat. That was it. That ain't no hamburger. Hell, nothing on that patty!

New big arch at McDonald's? i stop getting the Big mac a long time ago.
The new McDonald's Big Arch burger is a large, premium burger featuring two quarter-pound beef patties, white cheddar cheese, crispy slivered onions, pickles, lettuce, and a new "Big Arch" sauce, priced around $7.59 to $10.19 for the burger alone (often over $11-$14 for a combo). It is described as a very filling, high-protein menu item launched in March 2026.

Good day for a pet peeve. "If you read through the comments..." Yes, and no. What kills me is the E coli comment.

If you use quality meat, eating a medium cooked hamburger isn't going to make you sick. IE: Ground sirloin (which I might have mentioned a time or two.)

This is ... yeah, on the menu. (I'm pretty sure this is Pogača bread...takes a minute.)
