🧑‍🍳 I have gotten a lot of great recipes on here!

I grill mine most of the time but honestly prefer mine cooked in cast iron. I use the grill because I don't have a pan large enough to cook 5 steaks. I enjoy both but the sear from the skillet is hard to beat.

It's like BBQ, I'm a firm believer that people should prepare it and eat it however they want. It's for them, not me. I just worry that 30 years from now 90% of males won't know how to like a charcoal grill. As for the steak, I'll eat them prepared any way possible... cook it on a hot rock and I'll eat it. But over flames, with a kiss from some hickory on the coals (and not overly seasoned with a bunch of stuff) is right up my alley.

It's a dying art for sure. All of my bbq is done on wood or lump charcoal. My favorite way to cook it is whole hog on a pit over hickory coals. I'm not sure enough people actually get together enough to do that anymore but we did it twice a year. We'd cook so much through the night for snacks we wouldn't be hungry when the hog was done. My favorites were eating the ribs when we turned the hog and the belly meat when it was done. For snacks we tried everything from Vienna sausage to steaks smoked on the pit. I miss those family get togethers. Steaks and burgers from cast iron are hard to beat though.
