"How about a new league? A Legacy League. Teams made up only of players (not in the NFL obviously) from their respective schools. Stick with the college rule book. There are lots of great player who finish their eligibility each year who have a world of training, skill and talent but just donāt quite make the NFL.
I would pay to see the best players from Auburn play the best players from Alabama, Georgia, Florida or any other conference. Play half a dozen games in the summer Why let all that talent go to waste. For a few thousand dollars a player I bet you could field some good teams. And restricting them to their respective schools adds some immediate rivalry. I would go just for the tail gating."
Also, the article doesn't account for special teams, lol. But it's sort of interesting.
