I think I'm weird here.

I sent the water company $700 today. I won't look at the water bill this coming year.
I sent Dominion $1500, I don't need to look at my electric until next Jan.

Paperless. Am I a fool?

I pay by the month, online, with Amex for everyone who takes it without a fee. Otherwise, another card, online each month. I auto pay the cell and internet, and pay by text with my little water/volunteer fire company. They send me by bill by text and reply ALL to pay it. It costs an extra two bucks but they get a cut of it.

My job is making electricity, so mines free. 😛.... That is a lie, but you wouldn't believe how many people believed since I work at a generating facility my light bill is free, I can tell you firsthand, it is not, or at least I never received the memo. Back on topic, mine is wireless set up monthly, paid through our bank account.

I would have to ask my wife. Dang, I would be lost as a goose without her.
I handle all of the finances, creating a dead file for my wife should I kick, planning to update it annually.

My wife just glazes over when I try to tell her about our household finances and investing, and although I told her we were in good shape to retire, she wasn't completely convinced. I'd never used a financial consultant or advisor, but three of our neighbors used the same guy, so about three years ago I paid him to do a retirement readiness review for us. He was thorough and covered some things I hadn't considered, and he was that independent third party to get in front of us and give my wife some information. Of course, after he'd done his work, his meeting was also to pitch us giving him our money to manage, which wasn't in the cards, but he confirmed we were in shape to retire, and it forced my wife to sit through the details of his projections.
