Easy 3W to the right fairway, about 230, then less than 100 PW to the pin.
I'm hitting a five hybrid but the same idea in mind. Yep, wedge in...just not sure which one. I'm thinking 52-degree but I might fly the green.
Never been good with a wedge outside of PW. Now, that is an area I definitely could have worked on over the years, but never gave it two seconds of my time, and it shows. While I can hit a SW or 57, I could not tell you how far it would go, and therefor no clue how to manage it. I hit the ball high naturally, but my lack of ability with the other wedges hurts me when it comes to being able to stop a ball or suck it back like you'd deal with with your second shot in this picture. It's at a distance I can hit it high and make it stick luckily though.
I carry four. Gap, Lob, PW, and SW. That covers me about 140 in...maybe a little less.
I’d pull out the trusty 3-wood and aim at the 265/68 on the right fairway, and would end up landing at the 285 on the left fairway.
