🌎 Weather here and around the South?

so damn thick this morning TWC is calling it mist. It's not. It's fog.
Here's a wild one for you.

I watch the birds in the morning...blue Jays nesting in boxes I've built, Robin's in one of my Crepe Myrtles, but the Cardinals catch my attention every day. They build a nest inside of my wax myrtle every year. For years...

Fog so thick this morning that the birds just now started moving. No sea gulls in the air this morning. The pigeons are still asleep at the "cow pasture." All I can hear this morning are the crickets...which makes me want to fish for some crappie

The question no one ever answers: Why live in N. Dakota? Fargo...almost 70 yesterday, 20 this morning with a 0 wind chill. LOL...

Wearing shorts on a 60 degree morning (guessing) with visibility about 60 yards with the fog...so damn thick this morning TWC is calling it mist. It's not. It's fog.
I remember when NDSU would come to Florence for the D II football championship games. Those folks would have on short sleeves and shorts in 40-50 degree weather. 🙂

Thankfully, all we got was some rain and some lightning/thunder. The wind kicked up a few times, but nothing to be concerned about.

Still, I cleaned out a small utility room and put in a couple stools, some towels (floor is bare concrete), some supplies, and was ready to hop in if things got sporty. Thankfully, we got lucky once again.

But I know that luck will eventually run out.

I remember walking from Rose Towers to Reese Phifer in that mess.

My roommate and I ran to the fridge while watching James Spann announce a “major snow event”. We looked inside and determined we would both die. Neither of us had any cold gear whatsoever, so we jumped in our vehicles and made it to our parents in tiny Warrior, AL. We then proceeded to snowed in for a solid week!

Here's a sad reality. I can tell you what I was wearing that day ... I can tell you the backpack I had at the time ... but, for the life of me, I can't remember why I made the walk. I remember stopping in Charmichael to grab a cup of coffee. All I can come up with is it had something to do with the Lexus/Nexus database in Reese.

Yesterday afternoon is when that front ran through here. Strong winds, no doubt. It lasted about five minutes.

It was around 2 when it began and CSU cranked up their Civil Defense Warning siren. As soon as I heard it, "what?" It stopped after about 10 seconds and I thought...bet it was a scheduled test and then they realized, "we're in a wind storm!"

Yeah, at 2 today...they tested the system. I'd bet yesterday was scheduled and someone...well.
