🏈 Happy Thanksgiving!! From the staff here at RollTideBama to you and yours:

We're looking at about a 50% chance of rain, around 50ish most of the day. Rain or no rain, we'll have a fire going in the fire pit with someone designated to get wet.

Smoked turkey is on the menu as well here ... not sure when it's going in though.

Sounds good! Take care of yourself, Josh.
@TerryP you know water run off of the back of bird!:D

Thanksgiving Day will be spent with the in-laws in Easley, SC...( Clemson through and through ). We'll have a traditional dinner with all of my wife's family. I'll be nice when the discussion centers around Clemson beating the Gamecocks.... At every opportunity, I'll talk about the iron bowl. The question will come up about the possibility of Bama-Clemson III, and I will offer my thoughts on the possibility in a nice way.... Then we'll come home, because I refuse to attempt to watch a Bama game in that environment, and I will be getting everything ready for the Iron Bowl. The Alabama flag will be waving in the front of the house as it does all football season long. At game time, I'll be shouting "ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!"

So, what are you folks planning on for the weekend? I'm hoping a lot of eating!!! If so, what's on the menu?

It's going to be football on the patio with beer and oysters or in the house with those cooking. I'll be outside all day...except when stepping in for another plateful, or two, or three...

It's my first Thanksgiving spent without my family. Now that I'm married, we are alternating. Husband's parents got us a house in southern Virginia on the shore so we'll be there. It's not very traditional which bums me out but as long as I get good food, football, and quiet, I'll be happy.
I already told them I am busy all day Saturday and to leave me alone :rtrsign:

Thursday will be at my parents with about 35-40 family members. A few former coaches in the bunch and all former athletes, so plenty of football will be discussed. 1-2 moronic Barners mixed in, but we don't allow them to speak!! Saturday will be back at my parents to eat leftovers pregame and then more at halftime. We go traditional on Thanksgiving with ham, turkey, and all the trimmings. Saturday, we add a loaf of bread for sandwiches, dips, and chips.

Mrs. Bama is fixing for Bama son #1, his wife and two grandkids. Bama son #2 is coming up from Nashville with his wife. We are going to deep fry a turkey and have all the trimmings, even cornbread dressing. I only wish my parents could come to Ohio from Florence but they were up here 3 weeks ago for a birthday and cant make the trip again.

I will actually be in town here in good ole' B-ham. We aren't going to my wifes family this year we are staying here, inviting my mother and step father and going to a friend's house to throw down on some thanksgiving. The wife's are cooking turkey and all the trimmings.. my buddy and I are just going to grill out a couple of fat steaks and watch football.

Not much really. The whole family is in retail so most of us are working a lot. I already deep fried a bird and will prolly do another one before the week is out. I would like to smoke a turkey but don’t know if I’ll have time. I cook, smoke, better than most bbq places up here any way.

And what do your fellow Ohioans think of that menu? Seriously. How many have even heard of cornbread dressing? I suspect a few have heard of a deep fried Turkey but I bet that's a small number.

Hence why I mentioned the Oysters...though a steak sounds REAL good! One lady is making some Oyster dressing so I'll definitely get into that for a bite, or two, or three ...

Wife making traditional turkey/ham tday dinner with all the fixins....green beans /corn from summer garden..yum...
All kids and most of grankids and a couple of great gran kids over...
Riding 4 wheelers....tossing football around..few brews...ice sweet tea...ice cream....football....no politics...
And a moment for our now US Marine granson...God Bless the USA......

Opening oysters and drinking beer was a New Year's Day tradition for our family when I was not as long in the tooth and my parents were alive. Back before picture in picture TVs. We would drop cable off balcony. attach a few spliters and have 3 TVs with different games. Good times. Probably spend this Thanksgiving with me, myself & I.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and Roll Tide (and Go Dogs-MSU dogs that is).

Technically, it's Tuanigamanuolepola Tagovailoa...

Anyone know his middle name... it might lead to T-cube if it starts with a T ;)

You're a bigger man than me. I rarely, RARELY give away anything from my garden. A handful of tomatoes, maybe.

Fun of a "way to big" garden is sharing....plus fruits of fruit trees...blueberries...and g'kids like the melons and cants....
Scaling down...summer sun gets to be a load.... aging is a bitch..lol
May need a condo and leave the farm....one day....
Happy tday....enjoy the interaction...of passionate Tide fans...

@TerryP , thanks for asking. Hope you're feeling better by the time Thanksgiving rolls around.

We'll be having a Thanksgiving feast at home with the two chilluns and two granddaughters. My wife is a great cook and here is her menu for our Thanksgiving meal:
Cornbread dressing, bacon wrapped green beans, sweet potato casserole, home made mac and cheese, strawberry pretzel salad, yeast rolls, cranberry sauce, my son and I will deep fry a turkey, Hershey Bar cake and pecan pie. A gallon of sweet tea and pink lemonade for the grand girls.

I try to hold the damage to 3 pounds each holiday but seldom succeed. We'll deep fry the turkey starting around 10 and eat around noon. We'll watch / talk football and just chill most of the day. Weather forecast is nearly perfect for this time of the year. No rain and just cool enough to make the Bama sweatshirt comfortable.

Since the game is at awbarn, we'll watch the game with my son and family, all Bama fans, at his house in Huntsville.

I'll say again, hope all have a Happy Thanksgiving. Roll Tide, all day every day.
