Superior talent beats superior coaching. When Saban gets his players in here...look out!

Yes. We certainly gave them a run for their money. But we aren't quite there yet.

Still, I'm very proud of the way our guys played.

I agree we played a great game we just dont have the hoss's up front yet. But i thought we played an outstanding game. It was a lot closer than anyone anticipated including myself.

I said before the game that, if we lost, it would not be because we got out-coached. Miles almost got himself beat. As you said, superior talent, but lord, what heart our guys have!

I hate to break the bad news guys, but we(bama) had many opportunities to win the game and blew them period.

Big plays and turnovers killed us. Our boys played great no doubt. Still no matter how you look at we have many opportunities to win the game. Regardless of talent, yet the big plays and turnovers beat us.

If you remember, my keys to the game were (1) Control explosives (we didn't) and (2) Disciplined play.

I talked about LSU penalties and how their turnover margin was misleading.

In the end, they had too good of players for great coaching to beat.

Coach Bryant said "You gotta have chickens to make chicken salad."

Yes, Bama had plenty of chances.

I'm disappointed with the loss, of course. But I'm very proud of the way they stood toe-to-toe.

I don't think we'll play a better team all year than LSU. Not that it will be easy to play Auburn. But LSU has talent out the wazoo.

Man I really thought we had this game in the bag, and then we blew it. Man I'm so fired up right now! There are so many rotten LSU fans that have NO CLASS and it almost felt like it was our divine right to win it because we deserved it more then they have been acting...but in the end, it's all about the talent. They had more. Good game!

I have to agree with both of you. We played very good with what we have. With a little more offense we will be HARD to beat!

the guys played their asses off, and yes LSU does have the superior talent right now, but having a CRUCIAL 50 yard pass play get called back because of the worse use of replay in the history of NCAA Football helps a hell of alot.

Yes, we hd chances, some blown, atleast two overturned. I was pretty sure I saw that one call on the fumble and the catch by Caddel should have stood.

But theres iffy calls in every game, and if thats all that really seperated the two teams, I gotta say I am proud of the effort and determination showed on every play. We got out done on the line of scrimmage ALOT, but pure grit carried the game to the last play.

So I say bravo guys, you mightve lost the game, but you still came through when things looked dark (17-3).

You guys played well enough to take the satisfaction away for an LSU fan base that just wanted to bury us and you guys. In that sense, you won a big one.

PS: I dont think Miles will be out of Sabans shadow with that either.
