🏀 đźŹ€ Sweet 16 - (2) Alabama hammers (6) BYU 113-88, Advances to Elite 8

Bama is listed as a 4.5 favorite. On a side note... It would be real nice to give them a little payback for the AJ Dybansta circus that wasted UA's time (and some $) back in December. Most coaches would probably not really look to revenge as a motivating factor in a game like this, with the Elite 8 on the line... but Nate Oats ain't most coaches. I could see maybe a little dose of that 2021 Will Wade style spur under his saddle. Hope Bama beats the brakes off of them....

Great game by the good guys. It was something to watch. Hope they continue play at a high level even if matching this would be almost impossible. Roll Tide gentlemen... I will complain about the D later lol :).

It seems like our guys like this court and rims, that’s a good sign.
A term we've all heard is "defense travels." I tend to believe the same thing when it comes to shooting except the term I've always heard was "sight lines." In my experience that's not something that just disappears overnight. Once they get that line...

The best explanation for last nights performance is that Alabama practiced against themselves against BYU. Ton's of muscle memory & experience just took over. Props to Nate Oats for seeing that & having the team NEVER take their foot off the gas.

Which make me wonder. . . . . Why not practice/prepare that way from now own, regardless of opponent(s).

I don't disagree with what you are adding here. I do believe we're talking about two different things. A team practicing against themselves and it's a lot like BYU doesn't equate to a guy like Sears saying the basket looked like an ocean.

In my view a lot of last night boiled down to something I've pointed to for several weeks now when people were talking about turnovers. Look at the assists! What was it, 27 on 35 attempts with 12 TOs'? (The shot attempts were mentioned this morning...can't remember by whom.)

One other thing. Pope built the team at BYU. Bama has seen his game and beaten him at his game. That is why I mentioned this was a repeat of Kentucky earlier yesterday.
