Being verified would be something a business would want to do, or any individual account holder? Because so many small businesses only have Facebook accounts and not websites, I plan to establish a Facebook account about six months ahead of retirement. Also, there are at least two groups at the lake.

Paid verification is proper in a lot of ways, as long as it is true verification and not just a check mark saying you paid a fee to use a celebrities name.

For what?

Family connections, small businesses who only have FB accounts and not websites (finding out quickly how many small campgrounds are like this), particularly related to our anticipated travel. And, there are FB groups in a few areas I'm interested in, like my lake. Oh, and FB marketplace, it seems to have drained the life out of Craigslist.
