They're saying Byrne looked totally shocked when it happened. Homeboy walked right off the stage! :lol:

I honestly believe that had he stayed here, he would have won an SEC title or two by now, and had us playing for the NC.

Fran's problem was in the way he left. When he got to TAMU, his players did not trust him...they never bought what he was selling, and he lost Ben Pollard who refused to follow him to TAMU. When he got his own players, he had lost confidence in himself and was no longer half the coach he used to be.

Call him spineless, gutless, whatever...sometimes a person reaches a point where they have to dig down deep and find out what they are made of. Those who reach down and find that they still have something left when they though that they could not go on...those people become great. Those who reach down and find that they lack the intestinal fortitude to fully invest themselves...those people are doomed to fail. In all that happened around Fran's departure for TAMU, that is what did him in.
