I agree with that and I'll tell you what B_F, I've sen that said by Aggie fans as well.

Something happened to Franchione's spirit when he left Alabama. He never seemed like the same coach again after that. And as far as the players go, how could any of them trust him? I know I couldn't if I was suiting up for TAM.

The Aggie forums are saying TT will be announced next week as their new coach.

They're saying all kinds of stuff though. For every TT post there is a Peterson, Spurrier, Sherman post to match it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see TT head west but some things would have to work out first. I don't care how much money TAM has, 11 million for Tubberville is pretty much what it comes down to unless some things change, and that is a ton of cash to drop on a guy not named Lombardie or Bryant IMHO.

We're talking what? 6 mill buyout roughly? I'm not sure Franchione gets anything since he resigned but the last number I heard mentioned was about 2 mill which brings the total up to about 8 million. Then you're talking around 3 mill a year on contract. TAM might serve themselves better going after another coach, unless AU lets them off the hook some.

There are two reasons I think this will happen quickly at A&M.

One, with Neines working behind the scenes for a month or so now (Nutt and Tuberville both represented by Sexton) with Sexton I have to think something is in place. (FWIW, it's being reported there is a presser scheduled at Arkansas next Monday on a few Arkansas forums. I have to wonder about that since most coaches hold pressers on Monday anyway.)

Two, if you look back to last year when Gillespie left A&M they had a basketball coach hired in less than a week: 5 days I think?

It would be crazy if Tubs leaves, Miles leaves and Nutt goes. That's half the West. 'chop thinks O there is a possibility of O going as well.

How many will we see this year around Div. 1?
