How much of the virus was released from China? A thimble full? A 5 gallon bucket full? A 55 gallon drum? A freaking shipping container full?

How in hell did this virus spread so quickly to so many people?

Especially after lock downs, mask wearing and testing.

I have read of proof that some of the test are pretainted with the virus. Are some mask also pretainted?

I need the true scientific true facts of how this virus is spread. Anyone?

It has been a long time since anything has surprised me. NOTHING about the spread of this virus will surprise me either.

Why is this virus so deadly? If you have a certain metabolism it is mild as a slight fever and no cough. I have two elderly friends that have it and have recovered with just taking aspirin or tylenol. Then I read about a player in LSU that lost 40 lbs and it knocked him for a loop. Nursing home folks die with it if they are over 85.

Heart condition linked with COVID-19 fuels Power 5 concern about season's viability

A rare heart condition that could be linked with the coronavirus is fueling concern among Power 5 conference administrators about the viability of college sports this fall.

It IS linked with viral infections. That's been known for over a decade. I do find the article's title misleading; to no surprise.

The condition is usually caused by a viral infection, including those that cause the common cold, H1N1 influenza or mononucleosis. Left undiagnosed and untreated, it can cause heart damage and sudden cardiac arrest, which can be fatal. It is a rare condition, but the COVID-19 virus has been linked with myocarditis with a higher frequency than other viruses, based on limited studies and anecdotal evidence since the start of the pandemic.​

I'd swear some of these people either don't know what anecdotal evidence is OR they are assuming we don't understand that anecdotal evidence is based on studies done in an informal manner and relying heavily or entirely on personal accounts. It is not scientific evidence just like "limited studies" don't give anyone the entire picture.

@alabama mike well, we have already had another change to our plans for this school year. Teachers went back on the 6th and students were set to go back on the 20th with the availability of 3 learning options. Received an email last night stating that we would now have students start back on the 27th and they would run a split schedule (A-L on Monday’s and Tuesdays M-Z Thursdays and Fridays) Wednesday being a cleaning/virtual day. We will run this schedule until Oct 23rd and re- assess. The 3 learning options are still in place until the end of the semester. I had wondered before how we would meet CDC requirements and recommendations on buses and rooms. I guess this takes that guesswork away.

I would strongly suggest instead of using A-L and M-Z to use bus routing as the way to determine what days students attend. The reason, if your system is like ours, we have so many blended families with different last names. It makes better sense and its a better use of resources for transportation. Just a thought that you may want to pass on to the decision makers up the food chain.
