| LIFE CV-19: Effects on life, work, and sports

I would strongly suggest instead of using A-L and M-Z to use bus routing as the way to determine what days students attend. The reason, if your system is like ours, we have so many blended families with different last names. It makes better sense and its a better use of resources for transportation. Just a thought that you may want to pass on to the decision makers up the food chain.

Our superintendent has released a statement on blended families and is allowing those kids to all be sent together. I'm just a lowly peon with one foot out the door. I doubt they would take my word on anything like this. They all seem to think they are all smarter than teachers anyway, so let them find out on their own.

There are quite a few hoping the three conferences end up canceling their seasons as well. Is this the old "misery loves company" manifesting itself? I get the feeling the only thing that will give them any semblance of peace is seeing everyone follow their "move."

The BIG and OSU are screwed if one of two things don’t happen. One being the other conferences also cancel.
Two being if the other conferences do play, and as bad as this sounds, a player needs to lose his life to COVID from playing.

Did not read the article but did read the quote, sounds like they are hoping someone dies to validate the BIG decision. That is sad and surprising someone would think that printing that was a good idea.

Another day. Another case of "that just doesn't make sense."

“The Pac-12 has called off football this fall. The SEC has not. Asked Oregon State president F. King Alexander what the Pac-12 is seeing the SEC isn't. ‘I think, probably, reality,’ Alexander said,” Nick Daschel tweeted.

Reality. Really?

Maybe the PAC 12 needs to take a deep, long look at themselves in the mirror and ask themselves “how much do I really care about the health of the student-athlete?” Yesterday morning on “3 Man Front”, Cole Cubelic more or less called out the PAC 12 on this very topic. He was referring to the tests/findings by the PAC 12 and comparing them to the SEC. He stated that the SEC is putting more money into testing than anyone else when it comes to cardiovascular health when the students arrive on campus. The schools know up front if a kid has any underlying heart issues. He said that the PAC 12 either, doesn’t have the money to do this or they would rather hold on to that money themselves. If it is the former, they don’t even need to field a team, because they are doing these kids a disservice. Again, I think the PAC 12 needs to take a look in the mirror before calling out anyone.

Just leaving this here...
