| LIFE CV-19: Effects on life, work, and sports

If they sugar coat the whole situation its going to get worse. People need to understand that they need to take precautions that they need to follow the health guidelines to prevent the spread. I just wish they can find a vaccine soon. I just want to get back to watching and playing basketball again.

Again, I will post this link to The New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Fauci and two other doctors collaborated on this article. Written and published on February 28, 2020. President Trump relies on Dr Fauci for information and guidance. Perhaps he should not. I don't think Dr Fauci can be trusted any more than the NWO. Please, at least read the third paragraph of the article.

POTUS Trump is the Command in Chief, the buck stops with him.

I'm not clear what point your making with paragraph 3. Spell it out, I'm from Alabama ;)

The point in paragraph 3 where Dr Fauci points out at the time the mortality rate is akin to seasonal flu, as believed by him on 2/28/20. He was then and now the main adviser to President Trump on COVID-19.

Hey, I am born and raised and still live in Al.

10-4.

I would like to know though cause the most puzzling thing is how we hear of one person getting it, but how are more families not getting it, especially if you don't know you have it for a couple of weeks and are in very close proximity. I admit I haven't taken it as serious as most, because I simply don't believe it's worse than other things out there killing people. I understand healthy people are dying, but a high percentage have inderlying issues related to the respiratory system. So then the ones that are getting better I began saying it ran it's course like the flu. I have to go into work, but I haven't left my house in four weekends, so I'm being careful, but I am not wearing gloves and masks either. This is just a very strange time to me. Probably more ignorance than anything.
Sorry that it seemed I was directly my comments towards you, wasn’t my intentions. I’m puzzled how some are getting it and some aren’t too

There is no clinical proof. If there was Dr. Fauci would be reporting it.
Dr fauci said at best it's suspect but the French study of 1000 doses should not be ignored. Only the sceptical would look at this as not effective. They are saying 100% effective. I don't know just listening to information

Another potential drug for coronavirus in the works.

Scientists are reporting promising results for a new drug to treat COVID-19.

The drug is known as EIDD-2801. It works by interfering with the coronavirus' ability to make copies of itself once it infects a cell. In that regard it's similar to remdesivir, a drug currently being tested in COVID-19 patients.

EIDD-2801 has one major advantage over remdesivir: It can be taken as a pill, whereas remdesivir must be given intravenously.

Researchers from Emory University in Atlanta; the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., first tested EIDD-2801 in cells cultured in the laboratory. When those tests were encouraging, they gave the drug to mice that had been infected with coronaviruses that cause either SARS or MERS, and showed that it reduced the amount of virus in their bodies. In addition, the mice gained weight, another good sign.

The researchers say they were unable to test EIDD-2801 in mice infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 because right now most mice are not susceptible to infection with that virus.

A paper describing the new results appeared online today in the journal Science Translational Medicine.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center virologist Mark Denison, one of paper's authors, says there's already been a lot of research on other coronaviruses, so he's not worried that testing the drugs in animals will turn up any problems.

Timothy Sheahan of the University of North Carolina, another one of the paper's authors, said in a press release that "in normal times, testing in non-human primates would be the obvious next step on the road to human testing. Since these are not normal times, this could be skipped and evaluated under compassionate use and established clinical trials in people. The goal is to directly attack the virus, lessen symptoms, decrease pathogenesis and save lives."

I am all for trying something that gives people hope even if there is a limited sample size. The hard thing to me on this one is that 98+% of people get better anyway.

Yea, 98% do get better but have a lot of pain with the virus. If I had it I would want to try it. For the 2% I would try it before I die.

On blacks dying at higher rates, I also believe they have higher rates of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Those three are the things I have seen documented in all states as the top 3 or 3 of the top 5 factors involved in the majority of deaths.

That's what Dr Birx and Dr Fauci said last night as well, underlying health issues.

Vitamin D may play a role in this as well, as I understand lighter skin makes vitamin D faster than darker skin. I mentioned to my mom weeks ago to increase her vitamin D dosage as a way to help boost her system.

The West coast has done an admirable job dealing with this, they were some of the first to implement legit mitigation strategies and the data suggest it's worked thus far.

I'm wondering if the 15 min test is being used on every visitor to the White House.

This reporter has me laughing a bit at her actions. If you're worried so much you have a mask on, what's the point of constantly adjusting and putting your hands near your mask?

At one point a photographer walks by and she leans away from him.

Now she's messing around on her phone taking photos?
